106 days until my wedding! So exciting! But really, I'm wondering about a HWS photo shoot. We're tentatively scheduled to do one on January 5th and I've always said this is one of my 'must haves.' It's our favorite park and the experience of taking bridal pictures there would be wonderful. But I got to thinking about it- you do it before the park opens which is relatively early. (I thought about this when I noticed most of the MK bridal pictures are dark.) My question then becomes- would it be dark for my pictures? I don't think that'd be worth it! I went to Disney's photo website and it looked like broad daylight in this couples' photos.

So how does that timing work? Dark for the MK and light for HWS? Just making sure before I spend so much money! :)

We are doing a MKBP on October 19 before our wedding. The time is 6am. According to timeanddate.com, the sunrise time is approximately 7:29 am. Light photos are probably during the summer - when the sun rises earlier.

Yeah- I'm betting it'll be dark out. I sent an email to my coordinator to ask but if that's the case I'll be reconsidering. Inside the TOT has some cool shots (if you even get them!) but the other ones we want are outside and just wouldn't be the same in the dark. We're poor college students and don't really want to pay $900 for semi-decent shots. My heart is breaking a little- kissing a dream goodbye. :sad2:

Don't give up quite yet. Some people have done two bridal shoots in one day, magic kingdom first followed by a second park. Maybe dhs has a later shoot time such that it may be dark for part of the shoot but another would be at dawn or just after sunrise.

And this is what I get for being so pessimistic about things- a pleasant surprise! My coordianter said that the shoot at that time would most likely be scheduled around 7:30-8:30 AM- with a 7:20something sunrise, I could take that! Gosh I'm such a worry wart. Yay for dreams!

Yeah, it depends on the time of year...we had a 6am shoot on May 1. We actually were running 10 mins late, so we missed any sunrise/dark shots...we were ok with it...

Besides we can always redo our shoot and do one when it's dark/sunrise!

DHS makes for some GREAT photos!!!
