Timing Advice Needed

Good morning,

I have spent some time at Universal in the past but I am currently planning my first big trip without the Mouse. I'm not certain on the best timing for reservations and ticket purchases. My travel dates are May 5 - May 13 and I already have our room booked at the Hard Rock. Here are my questions:

- Will hotel rates drop at some point? When should I be looking?

- I am looking to buy Annual Passes. One preferred and the rest power passes. When is the best time to do this? Who offers the best price?

- I am considering the following special events - the Luau at RPR, the Cinematic dining experience at Lombard's, and the Superstar character breakfast. Are these activities worthwhile? When should I book them?

- With the Superstar breakfast, we get parade seating. Where is this located? Is this a prime viewing spot and worth the time to attend?

Check the booking site anytime for changes in your room rate

Call and modify when you see rate drops

You said you already booked your room
Did you book with the Aph code ?
AP can be bought at the UO website

Tickets can be bought thru UO or any of the third party ticket vendors

Check the dates for the luau as it is done on specific days of the week

The cinema show is good especially if you are a fan and have seen many of the universal movies over the years
( past or present ones )

There are many great places to see the show besides Lombards

I watch it from the end near Mel's

SS breakfast is good but the price increases this year

It would only be worth it if you are greatly into the characters it features
Not sure which viewing area it includes if it is not the dock where Lombards is located
