Timesharetransfer.com

I have used them on several occasions. They also closed on my DVC purchase. They are very inexpensive and thorough. Actually, I am shocked that they don't dominate closing for DIS properties. Tia at Timeshare Transfer is very well-informed of the process. Timeshare Transfer is probably the #1 closing company of TUG users.

In other words, I wholeheartedly endorse them! :)

How quick was the closing process? They told me 6-8 estimate to record the deed and notify DVC of the transfer.

Does TTS do it the same way or do they notify DVC once it has closed?

Tia from Timeshare Transfer did notify DVC when they had closed the unit. Disney setup my account immediately. Disney did not require that the unit be recorded, only that the transfer had been completed. I wish I had kept my notes about how long the entire process took. It was a bit longer than other closings simply because of the ROFR process. Once we got past that part, it went very quickly.

This is consistent with my experience. Usually the closing company sends the transfer fee and a copy of the deed to DVC at the same time as they send out the original to be recorded and DVC does make the change over. I've never heard of a case where things didn't proceed and the deed was never recorded. I don't know if DVC follows up to be sure it was recorded.

That gives me an idea about those that simply want to do a change of name, but it'll still cost the $100 transfer fee I suspect.
