Timeshare store Anybody have problems?

:) We just closed on our second resale contract with TSS...the first one was about 4 years ago. Both went quite smoothly BUT I have to say I did have some minor issues with the closing agency/agent (who will remain nameless except for the initial N). We had a "delayed' closing, did the intial contacts and paperwork in, maybe, January, but because of the terms couldn't close till late April. So, I signed all the initial paperwork and sent it back in, confirmed that they had what they needed. But there was NO WAY I was going to send them my money and let them sit on it for 3 months! So, come the end of April, I hadn't heard anything from them and by that point wasn't even sure what we were supposed to do next, what papers we had to return, or anything. I contacted them and we had a few emails back and forth trying to clarify what needed to be done and I have to say she was somewhat curt...almost to the point of being "snippy" if that's possible in email. Once we did send the money in, everything closed in a day or two, so no issues there. But I did feel that it would have been nice of them to send little messages every month or so, do a "countdown," check back with me once in a while, instead of just waiting...I assume if the actual closing date had passed we would have heard from them in no uncertain terms, but a little bit of "proactive"-ness might have been preferable. Don't get me wrong, it was just a little glitch that made me just less than thrilled, but Jason at TTS is GREAT!!!:)

They sold my BCV contract in less than 1 week! Totally professional... highly recommended.

We just bought our BWV contract thru them. Offered 2/29/08, closed 4/22/08 no problems at all!:goodvibes

I have used the TS to purchase one 200 pt contract and sell two small 50 pt contracts with no problems. Everything went smoothly and fairly quickly. Any delays are usually due to Disney.

I had some issues with my paperwork not arriving at Disney at the final stage, but I'm unsure if that was the closing services fault or Disney's. Once the issue was found, I thought it could have been dealt with a little faster (found the issue on a Friday, still didn't get my points until almost a week later).

Robert at the Timeshare Store has been very pleasant to deal with however.

I just used them to purchase VWL. I had no probelms with them, but I did with their selected lender. They use Benchmark Bank for their lender. Benchmark decided to mail my check to TTS with no tracking number, which took an extra week. In the future ask I would have the check overnighted or a wire transfer. TTS seemed suprised that the lender sent the money this way also.

I used them for two purchases and one sale. The only problem I had was with the sale. I told my salesperson that I was going to be out of the country (to Asia, including HK DL and Tokyo DL :)) and that I could not close until a certain date. He forgot and I came back from my vacation to find a number of urgent phone calls from my salesperson and the closing company. Everything turned out OK, but I felt sorry for the buyer who expected something sooner.

ETA: The buyer was found very quickly. I had a full-price offer within 24 hours of listing it.

I have used them many times. I have never been disappointed with them, and my agent Jason, is fabulous.

The closing company was less than perfect in my first 2 purchases, but much better in my last 3.

You can use TTS in complete confidence.

We've used The Timeshare Store twice -- once for an attempted purchase from a seller who turned out to be unscrupulous, and then a second time on a successful purchase.

In both the failed purchase (not their fault) and the successful purchase, their advice and professionalism were very important to us. We highly recommend the Timeshare Store.

We just bought our second SSR contract through TSS; offer was made 3/10 and settled 4/29. Jason was very professional and responsive to our questons. I would highly recommend their services.

Used them to purchase our VWL last year everything went great! They are very good with keeping you informed throughout the entire process.

We bought a re-sale at BWV last year (2/07) with amazing service. No problems at all!

kept us fully informed and whatever questions or concerns we had were promptly answered. The time frame for the entire purchase process that they told us at the get-go on our resale was quite accurate, we did have some luck on our side and did close approximately a week earlier than what was our expected closing date. "Expected closing date" is a difficult aspect to find patience for if buying a resale contract whether it be through The Timeshare Store or other source - - really gotta bite the bullet and expect it to take 8 weeks perhaps even a bit longer to reach closing. We will be the first to admit the waiting is not easy because you are so anxious to know that the contract is finally yours !

Currently using them to sell a contract. It sold within a week and I just found out it passed ROFR. Communication has been great.

My experience with TTS was not particularly good. My only sale thru them went VERY quickly, so that was great, but have not been able to buy. Our first contract, about 8 years ago, we waited to close for over 5 months, then called to find that the seller owed Disney some money, and refused to pay. The agent never called me, though, I had to call them. Then, I called with offers on 3 separate contracts, and they refused to enter them unless I bid over the asking price. One agent hung up on me, another was rude, so I went to Jacki Apatz for my contracts, and have had wonderful service! I guess that you just have to shop around until you find the agent and the company that are right for you.;)

Well here I sit still waiting. The closing company is for the birds.. Jason still has not responded to my email.. They tell me it closed but yet the deed is still not recorded nor do I have a check.. Nor did they email or fax me a updated closing statement... Just a joke that it should be this way... Stay clear...

Can't argue with that

Resale transactions have so many parties involved... any one party making a mistake or responding slowly ripples through the whole thing: the seller, the agent, the buyer, the closing company, and Disney.

I bought through TTS and it all went smoothly looking back on it. In the midst of it I was very anxious for it to close and it seemed to take forever because I NEEEEEEDED those points! If you're a seller and you NEED the money from the sale, it will probably seem to take forever too.

From start to finish our transaction took about 9 weeks total. Most of the wait was waiting on Disney responses.

Hope your sale closes soon.

Stan

I apologize as I have appeared to have drop the ball with dorn312. If you are dealing with any of the associates at TSS please send them an e-mail or call them and they will respond.

Be advised that TCS is a separate company from us and we want to be sure your questions and concerns are answered.

We are always looking to improve.
