Timeshare black-out dates

My sister has points with a time share cie,(Club Intrawest) she has been trying to book through them but Disney has blocked any réservation since the end of Feb. Does anyone know when it will unfreeze, so we can book a room. This is thé first time that dates has been blocked for soooo long! I'm starting to worry as we really want to stay on-site....
Anyone with some info?

I'm going to send this over to the DVC Mousecellaneous board, as there are lots of folks there who know the ins and outs of exchanging for DVC.

This would be a restriction between Club Intrawest and DVC, as brokered through Disney's Buena Vista Trading Company. DVC owners themselves don't have 'blackout dates' and few will have any insight into BVTC's practices.

The best info might be offered to your sister by discussing this with CI?

DVC owners were blocked from booking Disney cruises for a while. Perhaps not enough DVC owners are trading into Intrawest?

Yes, both sides must balance. Once one side gets too far ahead (CI in this case) they are no longer allowed to book until the other side catches up. I'd keep trying, you never know when it'll be opened up. You might also talk to your exchange department to see if they can give you more info on when or how long this will be blocked.
