Timeline for Refund From Disney?

Can any of you who have already gotten married, or had a VR, tell me what the timeframe of the refund of any excess monies are received. I know it's going to be peanut butter and jelly for a little while after the VR to recover.

Our wedding was 2/4 and they refunded our deposit on 2/13. Unfortunately, we discovered today that they refunded it to the wrong credit card - UGH!

That would be totally cool. It seems as though it's a pretty quick turnaround on that. I'm glad to hear it.

they refund your deposit? I thought that went towards the cost of the wedding? Am I going to have to save extra money now??

For a Wishes they refund the deposit as they use that for any overages you might have, then refund the difference. For an escape they put it towards the total - just depends on which you're doing.

Some Wishes brides have been able to ask DFTW to apply their deposit to the balance, but I was not one of them - it seems to vary by who you talk to. Same with the refund - we wanted a check like Kristen got, but they told us we could only get a credit on our card....

Hmmmm... This is another case of my mom not keeping me informed. We're getting a refund even though we had an Escape wedding b/c we planned our reception dinner through DFTW with menu, etc... So, I've been calling her constantly telling to check the card and let me know when it's come through, in case I have to follow up. Mom will be getting a stern phone call tonight!
