Hi All,

I'm starting to worry about whether or not I have enough time for my hair and dress steaming the way it is booked now:

11:00 am - Dress Steaming by Carolyn Allen's
12:00 pm - Hair appointment with Lisa Pena
2:30 pm - Ceremony at Seabreeze Pointe

Originally Lisa booked me in at 12:30 saying that I would have plenty of time, but I asked her to bump it up to 12:00 to be safe.
If anyone has already used Lisa do you know how long the appointment usually takes?
I know the Limo usually picks up the Bride about 45 minutes before the ceremony so that would be around 1:45pm.

Advice would be appreciated :)

Thanks,
Karen

My wedding was at 4PM and my appointment with Lisa was at 1. It took about an hour and a half for her to do my hair and makeup. We left for the WP at 3PM (it only took about 15 minutes to get there from the CBR) so we were early. My DH got there 15 minutes earlier. I too was worried about the time factor. I didn't want to feel rushed. But, I put more pressure on myself then I probably should have. My WC was surprised we were early. You may want to bump up your appointment with Lisa to 11:30 for peace of mind. It's better to be early then feel like you are rushed!
Do what you are comfortable with -- you have enough on your mind and don't want to be rushed while getting dressed or on the drive over.

BTW, Lisa is fantastic -- she really does wonders!!

Best of luck...

What you have booked will give you enough time! :) You'll be right on time! My hair and make-up was ready just in time for me to leave the Resort. I had steaming and hair & make-up arrive at 8:00am and my wedding was at 11:00am. You could make the appointment about 30mins later and be fine and book the dress steaming at the same time if you wanted. That's what I did! Worked great! :)

The last thing you want to feel on your wedding day is rushed. I agree with Beth, i would change the time to 11.30, it cant do any harm. If you do happen to finish early, have a glass of champagne and relax.
Hope you have a lovely day

Yes I would make it earlier too. My wedding was at 3pm. Lisa came at 8.30am as she had 7 of us to do. She takes around an hour to an hour & half. Though it didn't seem that long. My dress steaming (Carolyyn Allens) came at the same time as Lisa as they were dropping of the tuxes also. It wasn't a problem, and they didn't take long to do it.
I would give yourself a good hour after makeup to make sure you relax a while, there is nothing worse than being rushed. I was rushed a little as the dress steamer had taken all of the bridesmaids dresses out of their garment bags to see if they needed a steam, which didnt. But she forgot to put them back in their rightful bags and they all got mixed up, as the names were on the garment bags, not on the dresses. We had to have them all try them on and with 4 of the girls being roughly the same height & size it turned into a nightmare. Then we had to lace them all up which toook a while too.

anna came & did our makeup & hair at 9am, there were 4 of us
carolyn came at 9:30 to steam our dresses
prewedding pictures for us girls were at 11:15
had a quick snack
and we headed down for the ceremony around 12:40
the ceremony was at 1pm.

Thanks for all the feedback. I forgot to mention that Lisa is not doing my make-up, only the hair.
I'm doing my own make-up, so I should have plenty of time.
However, if I'm still feeling stressed closer to the date I may ask her to come at 11:30 if she's available.

Thanks all!

I think Carolyn Allen showed up around 11:30 am. Disney Cosmo arrived around the same time. Our wedding was at SBP and we were staying at BWI so I was able to walk to my 3:00 pm ceremony. I was done plenty early. My Mom, MOH and I ordered pizza delivered after hair/make up so we wouldn't be starving during the ceremony.
