I've been to the World 6 times, and I'm starting to plan my 7th trip with my DF. I called and asked around about prices for May, but now I'm thinking that I might have to switch the date of my trip, just so I can save up the money for it! What are your opinions for crowds, weather :sunny: , etc. for these dates:

Last Week of January
Middle of March
3rd Week in May (It's very expensive, as they're not 'value times')
Middle of August
Middle of October (Fall Break)
2nd week of December (before Christmas) :)

I'm leaning towards the second week of December before Christmas--but are those good crowd avoiding/cost saving times? I've never planned my own trip before (that's the beauty of having a smart mommy ) and I have to deal with a college schedule :teacher: (I'm almost there to graduating....gotta finish well. :goodvibes ) Any help I could get is appreciated.

My last trip was October 16-23, 2004. VERY low crowds; we only had to fastpass Splash Mountain and Aerosmith. We usually just walked onto rides, or waited 5-10 minutes. It was, however, very hot and humid, but everyone (CMs, other guests) was saying that it was unusual for it to be that hot for that time of year.

Last week of January will likely have the smallest crowds on that list...but the January weather is iffy. Biggest crowds on that list will be mid-March

One of the best trips we ever took was the second week of December. The crowds were low, yet we got to see all the Christmas decorations and attend the Very Merry Christmas Party. The weather was warm most of the time, but we brought light jackets for when the sun went down. I would go back in December in a heartbeat, but my kids really want to go to the Halloween party, so we are going in October. Have Fun! :goodvibes

Definitely go the second week of December. We went in Dec 04 and there were no crowds and the Christmas decorations are up. The weather is kinda iffy though. One day would be in the 80's and the next the 60's.

I agree about doing December---low crowds, low rates. Only question mark is weather, which could be iffy. On the other hand, I'd rather risk some rain/chilly weather than go in high crowd times or horrible August heat...

I think I agree with you guys--I was at Disney in November, and I'm sure there can't be too much difference--I think that DF would love to see Disney all dressed up for Christmas--plus that would give me tons of time to save up for everything, and it can happen after exams, so we wouldn't miss school (wow, I'm sounding responsible ;)). I guess the only downside is it's so far away! ;) Are the rates comparable from year to year? When would they allow me to start booking for trip that is that far away--or to be more precise, when do they release the rates for Dec. 2007?

Go with December. Low crowds, less expensive, and you get the Holiday decorations.
