I just finished reading The Time Traveler's Wife. What an amazing book! I am planning on seeing the movie tomorrow and want to know from those who have seen it how true it is to the book? There were certainly a lot of lines in the trailer that were not in the book, and the Clare in the trailer seemed more bitter about the whole thing than the Clare in the book-but then trailers are rarely accurate representations of the movies.

Eh, it's okay. :sad2: Don't get me wrong, it's a great movie - but if you didn't read the book you'd be totally lost. That said, there's a lot cut out. I like the book much much much better.

I have to know: Do they leave in the part about the legs and then his death? I'm asking because when I saw My Sister's Keeper I was preparing myself the whole movie for the death of a certian character and they completely changed who died. I came out of it feeling almost cheated and very upset that I was preparing for this death that never occurred.

Movie is more about him than her; touches big events only so not as much character development. It was good but not as good as the book; since the majority of the big events are not good more focused on the bad times.

Yes, they did leave that in. Dwelled on it more than the book I thought but it's been awhile since I read the book.

They changed the ending of My Sister's Keeper?? I read the book and had no desire to see the movie although I like the cast. My 17yo DD has a good friend battling cancer right now that has a younger sister, just a little too close to home and the book was emotionally draining and I read that before she was sick.
