Hi everyone,

DH and I are taking our 2 yr. wedding anniversary cruise on Dec. 5. My parents will be joining us for the cruise as well.

Last night we check Jet Blue and the prices were GREAT, so I booked it for my parents. They'll be leaving to go back home right after the cruise, while we stay for a couple of extra days.

The flight out for them, I chose 12:30 PM back to NYC, I figured we'd have to debark the ship by 8:30 AM the latest, it takes a little while for them to load everyone back on the buses, and the 45 mins or long ride back to the airport.

Do you think the 12:30 PM flight would be ok? Or should I change their flight to 2:30 PM I think is the next one. THANKS!!!:wave2:

Under normal circumstances, I dont think it would be much of a problem, but today it has proved that problems can occur and flights will be missed. Disney will do their best to be on time, but nothing is guaranteed. ALso, in UK we have to check in at least 2hrs before a flight, for security reasons. Personally, I would opt for the slightly later flight, so as not to panic if the ship is late into Port. Have fun. Nat:Pinkbounc

We had a 12:35pm flight, and despite not getting off the ship until 9:15 pm because of a huge line, we made it to the airport by 10:15 am. But as today shows, in some circumstances, even a flight on the same day may be too soon. I bet even tomorrow's Wonder sailing is impacted.

On one occasion, we were at the airport by 9:15 and moved to a 9:30 flight. DCL recommends that you not book before noon, so 12:30 should be fine.

DCL wants everyone off the ship by 9....claiming luggage and going thru customs takes virtually no time at all (10 minutes). Then you go to the bus for your airline. As soon as the bus is full, it will depart and another will take it's place. Thus, it is totally possible that you will be at the airport well before 10.

Of course, today is proof that anything can happen. DCL cannot open the doors until the ship has been cleared by customs, and DCL has no control over that. We've been on the ship when the big doors didn't open till well after 9:30, and then it was a MESS with the crowds. Fortunately, we weren't in a time crunch.

Still, barring terrible weather or another emergency situation, 12:30 should be fine.

We lingered on the ship on the last morning and got off the ship at around 9:00. We were at the airport by 10:00 and easily made our 11:50 flight. 12:30 should be fine, barring complications.

I agree with Mickeyboat, you should be fine unless there are unusual circimsatnces/events.

We've sailed 6 times and never had any problems catching our 12:15pm flight out of Orlando.

Have a great cruise!

Thanks everyone for the input! Now I don't have to worry about them missing their flight! (It would be $25 for any changes in the flight).

THANKS AGAIN!!!:teeth: :wave2:
