Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

At least you wrote something! ;)

I try not to attempt witty humor around dinner time. It tends to fall flat. Same with morning posts before sufficient coffee has been consumed.

LOL

You must be working today? Hope to catch you around tomorrow. popcorn::

Fell asleep last night watching the football game about 10 then had to bring Juliana to school this morning and hit the gym. See you tomorrow!:santa:

What's this??? No witty remark? :confused3:confused3 :lmao::lmao:

You had a good excuse to be MIA.. you were in DISNEY!!!!!

I haven't heard about CSR and beg bugs. I guess that could happen at any hotel. It's kinda gross though.:sad2:

I

Tim,not heard anything about bed bugs at the CSR. There were a couple of rumors, but they were unfounded. We had no issues when we were there in September and several people have just returned within the last two months who have wrote great reviews and had no problems either.

Hey Kathy!

I hope you finally got some well deserved rest this weekend!

I've read about people getting rashes on their legs but I thought it was more of a heat rash from walking in the parks. I'll keep my eyes open on the resorts board. We still haven't decided on where we are going to stay for our last 2 days. I think it is either going to be CSR (because we loved it there) or CBR (to try something new).

Yes, I know my friend Tracy was there in May and she broke out in a rash on her legs and feet--but it was not bed bugs (it was from something in the bushes or on the sand). We've never done CBR and it is our least favorite of the moderates theme wise, but our oldest son was there in July and he said it was nice (but he missed CSR); Juliana will probably like the Nemo room (unless you pay extra for a pirate room) and the new pool.

Yes, we both got some sleep this weekend. Mark still has no relief, but they said 3-5 days and he worked all weekend and was on his feet and working with customers so probably a lot of head turning which is not good for him.

The NYC pics are fabulous, simply fabulous! :cool1: I need to venture to NYC one day! I think you look a lot like your Mom! :) Princess Juliana looked adorable meeting all her friends! I love the picture of Cinderella hugging her - priceless! Did you think the movie was "girlie"? My DS actually loves Tinkerbell but I have to be careful on the girlie stuff, ya know! :lmao:

Your trip is coming up faster than you thought - literally! Heck, I wish we could knock 10 days off! I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to surprise DS with the trip! I'll have to record his face when we pick him up from school and then tell him! :lovestruc

Well, Tim, we're either posting at the same moment, or not catching each other online at all. So, are you going with rash-ville or something new??

Do tell!

We had such a nice time in NY. Juliana now calls it the big city. LOL

I definitely look like my mom. I really don't see much of my dad in myself.

The movie was good. I think a boy would like it too. There were a few parts that are more geared towards girls- like playing dress up.

I wish I could knock 2 months off! It will come fast enough though!

LOL... I'm not sure yet.

I need to resurrect this PTR. Now that my TR is done I should be able to focus on this.

Just popping in to say hi.
Hey Kathy!!!! I need to check your thread to see how things are going. I hope Mark is starting to feel some relief. :goodvibes

DO you remember a few short months ago when I stayed up all night trying to get my ADRs with the rest of the world? Well, I was on the WDW site last night and there are still many restaurants with open dates like 'Ohana on Sunday 3/14 at 6pm! It makes we wonder.. was it worth it?

I emailed our friends the MouseSavers link to Undercover Tourist for their tickets. I'm trying to figure out if I have enough days for Juliana and Mel. I have a couple 1 day adult passes. Can Juliana use an adult pass if I need it? I don't see why not.:confused3

We are still deciding on where to spend our first few days of the trip and the last two days. I think we might try to stay with Melody's grandparents. They only have a two bedroom so I'm not sure how it will work. I think we are leaning toward Caribbean Beach Resort for the final two days. We would like to try a new resort, and as much as I would like to stay at the Poly, I really can't justify the cost. I think we will be spending enough money being in Florida for 13 days! Some day I'll be swimming in that Poly pool and drinking frosty beverage while watching Wishes from my balcony. pixiedust:pixiedust:

I am with you...

When I totally forgot to take care of my ADR's that day and was able to get an 8:00 reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table ... I was suspicious!

But, I do think for those really hard to get restaurants, that it is very wise to go ahead and get them...as early as you can...but the rest seem like they can wait.

Especially now that we are 180 days out...Most people, even a few good DISers, are not really planning THAT far out. :confused3 Some won't even decide to go on a trip until closer to 6 months out.

Then I find myself trying to tweak my reservations now that I have a better idea of where we will be on certain days...and it is too late to get ressies now.

So...I totally agree!

Bummer on not staying at the Poly! Wish you had a great AP discount to make it worth it! :upsidedow

Tim, the whole ADR thing always boggles my brain. We've done the 180 days out, the 90 days out and for our mini trip in September we were able to get ressies at popular places -- LeCellier and Crystal Palace (at 8:05 a.m.) one month before the trip.

We've never done the CBR (it is the last moderate we would choose--the theme just doesn't appeal to us and we didn't like the food court the two times we tried it), but our oldest son (age 23) was there in July for a week and he enjoyed his stay--clean rooms, reliable buses, typical food court, etc. The only thing he didn't care for was the pool. Let me explain: he was with the baseball team of 13-year olds he coaches and their families; the little kids loved the pool, the older kids thought it was kind of "babyish" for them and way too crowded. They rectified that by going to the water park or using the quiet pools. Juliana will probably love the pool at CBR.

Lookie there!! You both hit milestone posts just now!!!

2,000 and (over) 15,000!!

Go, go, go!! :cheer2:

Of course I remember that night.

Hm...if you eat at Ohana that night, maybe we could meet up since we'll be going to the MK for evening EMH's. :confused3

I think when they are offering the FD is when it is the hardest to get those ADRs. Obviously the one's like CRT are always going to be tough though. I think it was worth it because I did get every ADR I wanted within 30 minutes of my desired time.

Come on AP rates.... They released them through February. I need the March ones!!!!! :rotfl:

That is good considering FD was probably going on at that time. I'm just glad I got everything I wanted!

I think Juliana would like the pool at CBR. Now I need some 80 degree weather!! It is hard to compare one resort to the 'next' when you don't know what is offered at the 'next'. I'm sure we will be happy where ever we chose. Heck we will be in WDW!!!

WOW I remember my 1000th like it was yesterday.. LOL

Congrats Kathy!!!! 15K is pretty good! I wonder who has the most posts? :confused3

Of course I remember that night.

I'm not sure if I am changing my ADR to 'Ohana but I was just seeing what was out there. We will have to compare schedules when we get closer and see if our paths will cross.... or make them cross. LOL:rotfl:

Oh my Lordie...I really need to get a life and get off the DIS. I never noticed my post count before. :scared1:
LOL You need to get paid just for running that CSR thread. How does 1 free week a year at CSR sound? (now we need someone to sponsor you!!! LOL)

Or a really plussed PIN code!

YEA that's what I need!!! COME ON PIN CODE!!!!! :wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

we have booked our trip the past 3 years in very late Jan- or mid Feb for the first or second week of March. and I haven't had too much trouble getting the ADR's we wanted. Now I'm sure some are booked up, but I haven't had much trouble and I did get CRT last minute last trip too. I would like to try Ohana next trip, but if we can't, I'll live with it.

Have you done all of the "hints" for getting a PIN code? Playing with the reservation system? Saving a bunch of vacations in different resorts for different dates? That has been triggering PIN's for lots of people on the Codes and Rates board.

They have lots of other suggestions, too...but I am almost positive that is what triggered the PIN I got that covered me for 2010.
