Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

Very true!

Having an SUV hurts the gas mileage. Then $100 each way for hotels, plus all that food. It probably is a little cheaper to drive though. Mel would never do it! :lmao:

I knew I liked her!! She's a sensible one, that girl.

We just decided it hehe It's my b-day present.

Check my ptr. It's the same as the other one.

How was the musical??????? ARe you doing an update now???

The show was awesome! I just DLed the pics and will probably put them up tomorrow sometime. I'm going to bed soon.. I have to be up early tomorrow. I'm going to brave the cold and go snowboarding tomorrow.

We had a great time at the Lion King and went to P.F. Chang's for dinner. My brothers wife cannot eat gluten and they have a gluten free menu there. Dinner took 2 1/2 hours (a little longer than I would have liked) but we had a great time. It turned into a long day though. I left the house at 9:30am and we didn't get home until 7:50pm.

I love P.F. Changs!! THey have much better than average Chinese!

Unfortunately it will always remind me of the time my parents insisted on eating outside the parks one day on our last trip, and dragged us over a half and hour (EACH WAY) to eat there. Left a majorly bad taste in my mouth - figuratively speaking.

Tim, I just posted the new thread!! An Invasion of a Stranger Kind. It's ready for posting- so come on over, One and All!!

See you there!

Can't wait to see the pictures. We love P.F. Chang's--we've been twice in the last month (thanks to gift cards we received).

Just wanted to post some pictures from the Lion King on Sunday. We went with my mom & dad, my grandmother, my brother & his wife, & my sister and her husband. We had a great time and went to P. F. Chang's for dinner afterwards. Here are some pics of the play.

My mom bought us tickets for Christmas and we had a great time. This was the 2nd time that Melody & I saw the play. The last time we saw it was about 8 years ago in NYC. :simba:

Zonkers! That was amazing! The costuming looks fabulously rich and so creative. It totally gets me excited for the FotLK at AK.

I can really see a family resemblance to your parents. I can tell they love to dote on that little girl of yours. ;)

Was this a musical in that there was no dialogue other than by song??

The costumes are great! It really makes you feel like you are watching animals.

They sing all the songs that are in the movie... but there is talking too. It is probably 75% singing 25% talking.

LOVE the pics from TLK!! Glad you guys had a great time!
Thanks!!!!! We had a great day.. It was long though. :)

Well we are in the 20's now!

I can't believe how fast this trip is coming. Before I get to a more focused agenda, I wanted to share a few pictures from 2 weekends ago. For Christmas Melody bought me a cruise to nowhere. What exactly is a cruise to nowhere you ask? Well it is a 1 night cruise that left from NYC and returned the next morning in NYC.

The boat was the Norwegian Jem.

We got on the boat and had lunch, dropped off the luggage in the room, and had a cocktail. The pier is right next to the Intrepid on 55th St.

It wasn't very warm out ;), but it wasn't freezing either.... about 38 degrees. But once the ship starting pulling away from the dock, we headed up the the 13th deck to watch the sights.

We had a nice dinner, went to a comedy show, had a few cocktails, lost some $ in the casino, danced a little, watched an oldies band, and just had a nice time. When we woke up the ship was pulling into the dock. We threw all our stuff back into our bags and went to grab some breakfast. We were at Melody's mom's by 11 to pick up our little angel. :littleangel:

Awesome present. However, two things came to mind:
1. You said Mel got you the cruise for a present. Seems like she got herself a present and let you come along. I'm just sayin'...:rotfl2:
2. The ship looked nice, but I think it would be several orders of magnitude cooler to take the Intrepid out on a cruse to nowhere. :thumbsup2

I've never heard of such a thing. How cool is that? were there that many people on board?

Lion King Play...it's amazing...It looks like the theater wasn't that big. It looks like every seat was pretty good.
