Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

OK PEOPLE!

After looking at my MK list, now I'm wondering.:scratchin

What rides/attractions have you missed while at any of the parks?

Obviously I've missed quite a bit in Tommorowland.:sad2::rolleyes1

TTA- Don't tell Tink.. we have never rode this either! :sad2: I feel ashamed! This is a must do!!!

TIM! You HAVE to ride this one..even Juliana will like it..You might have to hold her hand during the dark parts..I remember doing that with my parents when we were younger and I'd grab their arms until we made it out of the dark parts.

I think Juliana would like Donald's Boat..especially if there's not a lot of other kids playing in it. Sometimes it gets way too crowded in there from what I've seen as we've gone by it.

Um..let's see...

We didn't do Astro Orbiter this trip. The line is always long and I hate the elevator ride going up/down!

We also skipped the Enchanted Tiki Birds. Never have liked that one!

At AK, we missed some of the trails. I wanted to do them and then we never got around to it!

We also skipped that Birds of Flight show (I can't remember the real name).

At DHS, we skipped Star Tours. Mom, Dad, and Sis can't ride that one because they get motion sickness and I hate riding it because I hate being closed in!

We also missed the Muppets, 3D! I can't believe we forgot to do that one!

At Epcot, we skipped Mission Space. No thanks!

WOW!!! You are gonna see everything :thumbsup2:rotfl2:
Great list, very thorough

 Whew! I didn't realize how many rides there are at MK and how many we haven't done yet! This will be our 4th trip so I need to get to some of those rides I haven't done!

I remember seeing the TTA going through SM. I really don't know why we haven't rode it.:confused3 Luckily Juliana isn't scared of the dark!

I don't think it is possible to hit every ride. You'd go crazy trying to get on everything!

QUICK UPDATE.

I'm at my wedding waiting for it to start, but I had to jump on and tell you all our tickets arrived today from UCT!!!!!! :woohoo:

I'll be back later tonight with my DHS list!

Phew, I need to get caught up again.

First, you were talking about food! :worship: I think Sci-Fi in DHS will be a regular for us every trip because my DH and DS just love it. This trip we're trying a few new places out and not overdoing it. I think we're only repeating Sci-Fi and Coral Reef and TREX. We're trying for the first time, 'Ohana for breakfast, The Plaza, Tutto Italia and Columbia Harbour House. I think you should definitely do Teppan Edo. Do you guys go out for Japanese where you live? We have several of these restaurants locally and they are always very good. Too many places to go! :)

Next, the rides. Since this was my son's first trip, we missed a lot and we knew we would. We also knew we'd be back and it became a laugh to us - oh well, we'll just do it next time! :rotfl2: We did not get to do TTA, Snow White's Scary Adventure, Mickey's Philharmagic, Tiki Room, Astro Orbiter and the Jungle Cruise to name a few! My DS loved POTC, however just tell Juliana it's dark in there (you mentioned she isn't afraid of the dark), but it does go down a dark, small hill and that scared my son because he was not expecting it and it had been 15 years or so since I had gone on it and I remembered just as it was happening. He knows about it now but sort of felt we set him up for it though! :rotfl: I definitely agree with not pushing kids to ride things they don't want to.

Enjoy your weekend!
Heather

We always miss the Speedway, but that's on purpose. Ditto with Stitch...

Honestly, if you are there at rope drop, you won't have to miss anything. You can really get everything ridden as far as rides go by 11:00 or so, then you can kick back and take it easy, or repeat your favorites.

Oh, 2 that I did miss last, but really wish I hadn't were the Liberty Belle, and the Treehouse..

Some places I want to try next trip is Ohana dinner, Sci fi and Mickeys backyard BBQ.

OK PEOPLE!

What rides/attractions have you missed while at any of the parks?

Obviously I've missed quite a bit in Tommorowland.:sad2::rolleyes1

I think I'm all caught up now on your PTR! BTW, no MJ on our vaca :(

We have missed the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse on both of our previous trips. The first because GMa didn't want to do all the walking around up there with small kids. The second time it was under construction. It's definitely on our list of MUST DO's this time.
We have also missed (and pretty much have no desire to do) the following:
Ellen's World of Energy
Great Movie Ride
Mission Space (did it once - never again)
Tiki Room
Stitch Great Escape (again, tried once, not worth the time IMO)
Hall of Presidents (waiting til the girls are older)
and a lot at AK - we never seem to give that park enough time

Have you given any consideration to a haircut and pixie dust at the barber shop on Main St. for Juliana? It was so special for Isabella!

Don't let the elevator ride for Astro Orbiter deter you - it's one of Bella's FAVORITE rides at WDW. Actually a tie between AO and Triceratops Spin at AK.

And definitely do TTA - the dark parts are actually pretty cool because you can see stars and hear the coaster. for Bella and it was a good CALM ride - almost like downtime.

If you can convince Juliana to go on the Barnstormer, it's a great coaster-intro.

I've always wanted to try Teppan Edo. I think the main thing that has held us back is having a 2/3 year old daughter who doesn't eat things that she is not used to. She is getting much better with that though. We aren't eating there in October either, but maybe I can try to fit it in to our March plans.

If any of you followed me over here from my TR you know that I love Kona breakfast. It has become a mini-tradition. We are going there in October and we will go there in March too!

So tell me..........
Where is a restaurant on property where you haven't eaten but always wanted to try? Is there any restaurant that you have to go to each trip?

I only realized AFTER our last trip that Teppan Edo is sort of like a Benihanas. We've taken our girls there once and even though two are VERY picky eaters, they just ate rice and enjoyed the table show! Give it a shot!

Meals not to miss: Ohana Friends is a great meal and experience. We NEVER miss a meal in Cindy's Castle. Of course BFast with Mickey and the gang at Contemporary. And I'd venture to guess that Juliana would really love the Little Einstein's Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine.

Meals we wouldn't do again or not interested in: We have eaten at Sci-Fi and wouldn't go back - small cramped space, dark dining (I like to see my food), and the movie was just a bunch of short clips of various sci fi movies. The kids weren't intersted at all. I wasn't all that impressed with the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review and neither were the kids.

There are a few hibachi's near us but we have yet to go. A few of our friends go all the time, but with my work schedule, I am never around on the weekends(usually). We haven't eaten at Sci-Fi or Coral Reef, but we have done T-Rex. I would like to try Coral Reef sometime... its just not happening on this trip.

I tried to get Juliana on POTC in March but she didn't want anything to do with it!!!!! LOL:rotfl: We'll see about October.:confused3

Oh, 2 that I did miss last, but really wish I hadn't were the Liberty Belle, and the Treehouse..

From what I've read on the DIS and also in touring books, I don't think we will be hurrying to see Stitch! I took Juliana on the Speedway 3/08 on our first trip. She was fine on it until the kid behind us bashed into us 3-4 times. Juliana wanted to get off... and so did I. (I also wanted to yell at the kid, but I didn't)

I don't think we will be at MK for rope drop. We have an 8:15 ADR at Kona. We should be walking into MK by 9:30 though.

Some places I want to try next trip is Ohana dinner, Sci fi and Mickeys backyard BBQ.

Ohana is a must! We had such a nice time here in March.

From the reviews I've read on here (everyone has their own opinion) Mickey's Backyard BBQ seems like a free for all when it comes to the characters. There are always ppl complaining that their kid got pushed or run over.

I think I'm all caught up now on your PTR! BTW, no MJ on our vaca :(

OH GEEZ. We took her on the barnstormer and I might have traumatized her for life! She was crying on most of the ride. I felt so bad that I brought her on it.

I never thought about the haircut. Do you need a reservation or do you just walk in?

We have a bunch of rides in Tommorowland that we have to do this time. AO and TTA are 2 'must do's'

We've done Ohana dinner... not breakfast. We will try this in the future. We are eating dinner in the Castle this trip.. we have done lunch there before. We also are going to breakfast at Chef Mickey's this time too! We have done the Playhouse Disney breakfast too. DW wasn't too impressed with it, but I think Juliana had such a fun time there. DW didn't love the food.... I thought it was good.

Oh no! I'm kinda sad that she doesn't like it! Do you think multiple traumatizations could lead to desensitization? :confused3 Just a thought (totally kidding!) :rotfl2:

I never thought about the haircut. Do you need a reservation or do you just walk in?

It's walk in, first come first served basis. However, we went about an hour after opening on a moderately busy day and there were only 2 people ahead of us. I think it's worth a shot to at least see what the line is like. It really was magical for Bella. Look at the smile on her face! (FYI, the barber purposely held the mirror so I could get her smiling in the picture - what a nice guy!)

Just double checking, but you are aware that the princesses are not at Cindy's for dinner, right? It's Fairy Godmother and the mice (at least it was when we went last September). My girls were disappointed when the princesses didn't show up :( My bad for not doing the research. :headache:

The Ohana breakfast is DELICIOUS! This is a video (notice this theme with me?) of our Ohana Breakfast. Don't we look like we're having a great time?!? We were!

Great video!! How long ago was this? Your kids look so much bigger now! LOL

CRT- We know there are no princesses at dinner, but it's OK. Juliana will get to see Cinderella before we go in and that will be good enough for her.

Barnstormer- If I take Juliana on this again, DW might not talk to me for a while. :scratchin Hummmm on second thought, that might not be a bad idea! (j/k)

I had a really busy weekend.... but here is my DHS list!

Hollywood BLVD.
Great Movie Ride- Haven't done it.... not sure if we will this time either.

Echo Lake
American Idol- Here is my confession. I hate American Idol.. which is weird because my life is music. There is something about American Idol that doesn't agree with me. Maybe it is what todays (2000's) pop music (top40, hiphop rock) has turned into..... Cr@ppy. I think the whole American Idol phenomenon has part to do with this. With that being said if DW wants to see this then I will be going. LOL:rotfl:
Sounds Dangerous- Has never been open while we were there. I'm not sure if we will do this.
Indiana Jones- We haven't done this but I think I would like to see it this time!
Star Tours- I will be doing this. DW got motion sickness last time she rode it. (didn't vomit thank god) She vowed she wouldn't ride it again.

Streets of America
Muppet Vision- We saw this for the first time in March and I was kinda disappointed. I love the muppets. I remember being allowed to stay up and watch the show. I feel like this can be so much more. I doubt we will see it in October.
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids- Juliana loves this playground. I'm sure we will be here 2 times on our DHS day.
Lights, Motors, Action!- We haven't seen this either. I will probably see this when we go in March 2010 with our friends. That way Dave & I can watch the show and the kids can play in the playground.
Studio Backlot Tour- I think we are planing on seeing this in October. I'm not sure if it is appropriate for Juliana?:confused3

Pixar Place
TSM- I'm planing on being at DHS at rope drop. The plan would be walk directly to the FP machines, then either ride right away or come back later. Juliana loved TSM last time!!!!!

Mickey Avenue
Narnia- Haven't seen it. Doubt we will this time either.
One Man's Dream- We haven't seen this yet but it is on my list to see this time.

Animation Courtyard
Voyage of the Little Mermaid- Melody has heard that this can be scary. I think we will try it this time. Juliana has seen the Little Mermaid movie, so she knows Ursula.
Disney Animation- We will probably skip this too. We are yet to do it.
Playhouse Disney- Juliana has gotten off her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse kick. She doesn't even watch any Playhouse Disney shows anymore. I will leave it up to her if she wants to see it or not.

Sunset BLVD.
Beauty & the Beast- Juliana loved this last time. I'm sure we will see this again.
RNRC- My favorite ride in all of Disney. The question is how many times can I ride this in 1 day at DHS? LOL:rotfl:
Tower of Terror- Melody did this last trip and I hung out with Juliana. This is Melody's favorite ride. I think I will try to get on it this time too!
Fantasmic!- We haven't seen this yet. On our DHS day we have a 7:15 ADR for the Hoop Dee Doo Review. So we won't be seeing this this time either.

Block Party Bash- We skipped this in March but I think we will watch this in October. Juliana got a kick out of it when we saw it before. She has also watched Monsters INC and Toy Story since she first saw BPB. She will know more of the characters so she should really like this now.

FYI - I think Juliana would be scared in Sounds Dangerous. Both Bella (4 at the time) and Kennedy (7 then) got scared :scared1: and we had to leave in the middle of the show. It was worth it though because we were Dreamed with HS Fast Passes at the entrance!

R&RC - if you ask my DD10, the answer is 8! A combo of short lines, Dream Fast Pass, regular FP, and an awesome CM who let her go on 3 times in a row because the music didn't play the first time allowed AJ to have the time of her life - 8 times in a row!

I didn't think Little Mermaid was scary, and Juliana should be okay since she's seen the movie and already knows about Ursula.

The rest of your list looks good! Don't forget about child swap on TOT!

BTW, my video was from Jan 2007 - about 2 1/2 years ago.

Oh you gotta do the Great Movie Ride!!

If you hate American Idol, you're going to HATE the American Idol Experience. :rotfl2:

Indiana Jones is a fun show.

I honestly don't know if Juliana will care for the Backlot Tour or not. If I was her age, I'd think it was pretty boring.

TSM is AWESOME!

I've heard Narnia is a complete waste of time.

You HAVE to do One Man's Dream!

I think Juliana will like Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Stay towards the back of the theater because up towards the front, it gets hard to see up towards the stage.

LOVE Beauty & the Beast.

Aw, hopefully you'll get to Fantasmic! next time then.

You CANNOT miss the Great Movies Ride! It's one of my favs. in all of WDW. But, then again, old, classic movies are my thang! I love the live action in the middle (cowboy or gangster part)! Just distract Julianna from the Alien part, and she probably won't even notice it's there.

The rest looks good.

My 5 year fell asleep in Muppets- it was that good.

Julianna seems well suited for shows- hit those!

Hey, all this is just one woman's opinion... right? Take it with a grain of salt.

Your DD is my kind of girl. I always wait for the front seat on the R&RC. The one time Melody rode with me, she didn't want to sit in the front, so we just went where ever they told us.... which was the back seat. It was so bumpy back there. The front is so smooth.

Thanks for reminding me about the child swap on ToT. We never really utilized the child swap. The few times we tried it we were told 'they don't do that on this ride' LOL:rotfl:

Alien part.... huhhhhh ....sounds cool

Last night I received another PIN code!!!!!!!!! This is my 3rd one since March!!!!! Starting on October 4th, values $69, moderates $99, and deluxe(AKL & WL) $169.

OK here comes the DISer in me. I wonder if it would be cheaper to just pay OP for our meals and pay $69 a night for POP. I'm not sure what the 10/3 rate would be but with my AP maybe I could get a deal for Saturday night too. Then again, I don't have my AP in hand and we aren't going to a park till Monday (10/5) so I'm not sure if I could even use the AP rate?:confused3

With the free dining deal, we are getting 3 1day tix with our package that we can save for a later date, plus 15TS, 15CS, and 15 snacks.

What to do, what to do?:rolleyes1
