Time to activate annual pass

once you purchase the ap voucher how long do you have to activate it? I currently have one but would be interested in buying ahead to get the 13 months.

I wondered the same thing on the 13 months. Being a promotional thing, though, I wonder if it has a deadline for having it be 13 months of activation?

If I read it right on the WDW site, it said something about September of 2017.

I believe that's when the 45th Anniversary dining discount benefit will end (Sept. 30, 2017). AFAICT, the only thing that we know for sure is that the AP must be purchased between Oct. 2, 2016 and Jan. 3, 2017. There's nothing that says whether the vouchers have an "activate by" date or, if they do, what that date might be.
