I'd love to hear everyone's deas on how to save time so that we can maximize our time at WDW.

We are not staying on site so this trip, we chose to do our character meal at a park rather than one at a hotel so that we didn't lose time traveling.

Every little bit helps, right?!?!?!

Any other ideas?
:teeth:

When we eat lunch, we try and get a fast pass for a ride nearby so we can go on right after. This eliminates a lot of the back-tracking. Also, when we have to claim our "parade spot" 45 minutes before hand. DH and I will take turns holding the spot while the other looks in the shops. We always sit on Main Street for the MK parade. It helps get a little souviner shopping out of the way while we have to wait anyway.

When you go to Magic Kingdom, don't take the ferry boat to the park entrence from the parking lot. Take the Monorail. It will get you to the park entrence faster. The ride on the ferry boat is nicer, but if time is your concern take the monorail.

Try to be at whatever park you are going to at least thirty minutes early. This way your family will be one of the first in the park. You can usually get two or three rides in with little or no wait. Buy one of the Disney planning books so that you will know the layout of the parks before you arrive. Your children will get a
kick out of deciding which attractions they want to experience.
Use the fastpass system as much as possible. This has become a
huge timesaver for my family. We also carry snacks and water bottles with us which cuts down the time standing in long lines,
can be much healthier, and cheaper too! Learn from my mistake with our first trip to Disney, don't get in such a hurry that you forget to take in all the little things around you. You can't possibly
do everything there is to do in one trip. Get used to it, accept it, and be happy with it.

My best tip is to do the rides that are very popular that your family must do as soon as the park opens. Do not linger on Main street and take in the opening hoopla. Get to Buzz or some other favorite ASAP. We rode Buzz three times in our first few minutes in the park and didn't need to spend a lot of time there waiting later in the day.

If only I could remember this!!! Our trips are always jammed packed. The good thing is we always leave with a lists of firsts for next trip.

I made a list of hidden mickey's and interesting facts so that it seemed like we were adding in lots of "extra magic"

Enjoy!
