The following is taken from Mouse Planet's WDW Update

"Apparently, the decision to keep Timekeeper and the Carousel of Progress open during the rehab of the ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter into Stitch's Great Escape lasted a whole three months. Effective Sunday, Jan. 25, Timekeeper will return to the ranks of the "open seasonally" attractions. However, it appears that the relocated Mickey's Star Traders will remain open in the Timekeeper queue area until the completion of the rehab at the original Star Traders location at Easter time."

Can anyone confirm that this attraction did indeed shut down yesterday until the crowds pick up again?

Timekeeper is one of our favorites. I wish it was open in November/December.

I'll be there the first week in December. I'm hoping the will open CoP and TK early for the busy Christmas season, but I doubt there is much chance of that.

I am currently on a break from MK while my 8 month old takes a short nap before we return for Wishes. Timekeeper is closed today, and the "Times Guide & New Information" for January 25-31, 2004 says:

The Timekeeper Tomorrowland
(Daily) ................................Temporarily closed; operates seasonally

So, at least this week, it is closed again.

I was there yesterday:
COP - Open
Timekeeper -CLOSED

Mickey's Star Traders - set up in the Timekeeper entrance hall

I suspect the decision to move Star Traders into the TK entrance hall had a lot to do with returning TK to seasonal status (These days, in the war between plush pusing and entertaining, plush pushing usually wins). Hopefully this means that CoP will continue to be open till Stitch is finished (unless they decide to convert it into the DVC Carousel or the Plush-Go-Round).

This decision was done to save money with no concern for the guest expereince. Just another cutback in a long line of cutbakcs for wdw!!!!!! And of course the disney can do no wrong crowd will find reasons to justify another ride closure .

Just as members on "The Element" spend their vacation looking at water bottles.

When i visit a park "I do notice garbage" and if it is or isnt picked up promptly. And what made disney special from my local Sf parks was that garbage used to be picked up promptly and ALL attractions were open when the park opened and closed when the park closed. But now just like SF garbage can sit for days without being cleaned up, peeling paint isnt fixed promptly and parts of the park open and close at different times and rides are shut for the sole purpose to save money. And these are all thinmgs that were normal for SF but not disney. But now disney is trying to lower themsleves to SF all to save a few dollars at the guests expense .
But of course some with blinders on are happy to overlook with is happening at the parks.

.... what the hell's the difference anymore, they're all the SAME thread nowdays.

To equate one bottle in an area only viewed whilst on the ride to being a ure sign that Disney has fallen to the ranks of SF is ludicris. In the eight years that I've been a frequent visitor at WDW, the park cleanliness has never failed to wow me. And yes, I have seen litter in the parks, usually in little tucked away areas off the beaten path. But maybe if the grounds keepers weren't so busy sweeping up all the crap that people get close too a trash can - not actually taking the little extra effort it takes to actually put it inside can - they would have time to hunt for the elusive pieces of trash.
