Time it takes to check in?

Staying at Pop Century and arriving Sunday, July 13th. We will be in Boca Raton before that, so it will take us roughly 3 hours to get there provided we do not have to stop for a bathroom break (which I AM anticipating having to do for DS3). So we hope to arrive between 11 and 11:30 AM. How is check-in around that time on a Sunday? Are there usually long lines because people are also checking out, or do they separate the check-in and check-out lines from each other?

Trying to gauge the timing so that we can eat lunch at the resort, then head straight to Magic Kingdom!

They don't have a separate line for check-in and check-out. Most people have express check-out so they don't even need to go to the front desk.

We are usually checking in around that time and the longest time we've ever had to wait at any Disney resort was 20 minutes at Caribbean Beach. Last time at Pop Century, my husband went to the bathroom when we entered the lobby and when he caught up with me, I already had our room keys.

Conversely, on our last Pop visit, the check-in took over 50 minutes. The place was mobbed, and things were taking forever. Not sure what the norm is, but Saturday and Sunday are big check-in days, it seems.

I've waited over an hour before at Pop. They have 2,880 rooms. 900 more than any of the AS. If taking the turnpike get off at exit 249. There is an additional toll but its a straight shot and a lot less lights than Kissimmee though they have begun building alot on that road. Always joke we are going to stop to shop at Kohl's since there isn't a Kohl's built down here yet. They are in the works though. Once you pass the gates into Disney its the next light, turn right and there you are.
