time frame for gift card refund?

we unknowingly overpaid for a package at Disney (paid in full with a gf). we get the refund on the gc and were just wondering if anyone has experience with this and has any idea when to expect the available balance on card to reflect the refund. thanks!

It is like any other refund; it depend on low long it takes company that originated the gift card. Just like a debit or credit card, it depends on the bank's ability to apply the refund.

thanks. its a disney gift card. wondering if anyone has experience with this situation, or would you think it can vary greatly? i want to make sure to follow up at the right time, since it is several hundred dollars.

I have dealt with this!!! I had a refund of 4500 dollars (rebook with someone else) anyway it took 14 business days to have it all returned. It sort of trickle in day by day, make sure you still have the cards most important. That is a good tip for everybody keep the gc!

thanks so much i will keep this in mind! kept the gc thankfully. i want to take the gcs on our sept trip.....sounds like we should be fine.
