Yikes,

Winter storm warning here in SE Minn and a watch for the Metro.

It's so dark and grey out and forecasters are predicting 6-10".

If this prediction is true, we haven't had a big storm like this in over two years here.

Well, let's get it over with before the holidays.

Yep, and they changed the storm track again, and now they are saying 8-12 for the Twin Cities metro! We have really been living lucky the past couple years, so I guess we shouldn't complain too loudly when we get the normal! I would rather skip it though!


Look out east of us!! We will be sending it your way when we are finished with it! Sounds like Duluth and Northern Wisconsin could get SIGNIFICANT snow!! Lake effect in Duluth could be up to 2 feet!

We had our share of snow last year. Seemed like all we did last year was shovel and it started just before Thanksgiving. I must say, Better you than me. I love to look at the snow but boy, do I hate to shovel!

wdwnutze, you guys have had more than enuf snow for years to come! I hope the East Coast has a more average winter for precip and temp this year.

Its really strange here being so very dark during hte day and I have only seen a couple cars go by today on our usally busy street.

Hi,
We are supposed to get 12 - 18 inches of snow this weekend. We have the snowblower ready to go. We are prepared for this type of weather around here. It is exciting! I am thinking about getting the cross country skis out.
The only time I don't like the snow is when we are planning to fly out of Duluth (usually to Orlando).

There is nothing more nerve racking than sitting on the airplane at the de-icing station, and they keep coming on and saying "we are going to de-ice and take off" and then they say "well, the runways are all closed". And your Disney Cruise is waiting for you at the other end.
We did finally take off 2 hours late. The cruise was actually delayed leaving by 1 hour because we were waiting for some passengers from Detroit, whose flight had been delayed. We left from Detroit that same morning.

Please, please send some cold weather down here. I am so sick of warm weather. It is 75 here right now. Cool in the mornings and when the sun goes down. But, right now my AC is running. I guess those of us who have never really seen snow, would love to have some.

DD woke up this morning and asked to make a snowman. Guess we will have to take her out tomorrow!

Yes, this will be a great storm for the little ones who haven't had too much fun in the snow the last few years.

So many people I work with have never seen snow. Can you imagine?????

We got it too! Had about 8 inches yesterday and overnight...Winter storm warning tonight....16-24 inches of the lake effect stuff! Let it come now as we leave for sunny Florida on Friday!!!

Well, I guess it is not going to get cold enough to snow here. It is just raining like crazy. DH is very disappointed.

herc-Yes, I read the JD Robb/Nora Roberts book and thought it was very good. Can't wait for the next JD Robb to come out!

So far the storm has been a bust here!

Rain, freezing rain, and lite dusting. Just Metro and north of there getting hit hard.
