I know BOG is Quick Service for breakfast and lunch... is it the typical, stand in line and order, wait for food, seat ourselves, eat, and go? I am wondering how much time in our schedule to allow.

We have reservations for breakfast and lunch on different days, going to cancel one but trying to decide. Any suggestions are welcome. :)

Our breakfast ADR is on a EMH Morning half an hour before the park opens to the non resort people... but we aren't staying on property.

Lunch is at 11:30 on a regular day.

Thanks, all! :)

BOG is different than other QS. You check in at the bridge leading to the restaurant and than move forward and wait in line at the door to enter. You can pre order up to 60 days in advance. If you have ordered you move forward to the kiosks to skipping order and right to the point you pay. This is quicker. If you haven't pre ordered you stand in line to order first and then move forward to pay. You then seat yourself in one of the 3 dining rooms. You go to a counter and pick up your silverware and drinks, and they deliver your food to your table.
We like lunch better than breakfast.
We plan on 45 - 60 minutes at BOG.
Please decide which meal you want and cancel your extra ADR so that another family can enjoy the experience.

Wow! I am so glad I asked!! Thank you!

I will absolutely cancel the ADR ASAP. We only had the breakfast one until yesterday a lunch came up so I snagged it. Planning to decide and cancel soon..
we are still 5 months out from our trip!

I have read reports of cast members seating you, but it's not the norm. It's set up for self seating. We ate there a few years ago and it was seat yourself. They may only do that when they're having issues with the system. When the food is delivered, it comes on a cart and "magically finds you" (i.e. from your magicband or an electronic rose they give you when ordering). Also, you are doing nothing wrong with having reservations on 2 different days. Cancel when you are ready.

We ate lunch there earlier this month. The system was giving them problems and we had to wait for a CM at a kiosk to finish off our order, even though I had pre-ordered. Normally they are able to handle the pre-orders a lot faster. They led us to a table rather than letting us pick our own. But we were able to decline the first table they showed us and get a better one. The meal took a lot longer than I had planned, about an hour. But it was worth the wait. :)

I was really glad that we had pre-ordered since the line for the people who hadn't ordered yet was very long. I placed our order the night before, which worked out well.
