Thought I'd start a new thread to show off the new ticker & also ask a question about the hotel bars.

Even though we've been a few times already, we've never spent any time in the hotel bars. I think it was us presuming the kids weren't allowed in there as you normally presume that the bars are for 'adults time'. Are there any age restrictions for going into the bar areas?

Its fine- Children are allowed in all the hotel bars. Most of them serve special childrens cocktails as well as normal soft drinks.

I think on the whole Europe is more open to children in bars/with family etc.

We've spent a few nights in the bar at DLH when staying there but our children were always tucked up in bed with my parents looking after them in the room. But, having said that there were lots of European children in the bar area - I think it is expected at DLRP.

This time we won't have my parents with us, so we'll see how we get on, if the children aren't too tired we might go for one drink, if not it will be early nights for us all :lmao:

I' like to go sit in a bar and have a cocktail. Last time I wanted, but had no time. Skybar was looking soo attractive :goodvibes On the otehr hand DLP is for children after all and mostly all guests come with children, so I don't think this should be a problem. But I can leave them watch cartoons just across in kids corner

Thanks for the responses, we'll try & give the bar a go this time. I must admit we always say it but never get round to it as we're always too worn out. Always feel like I need another holiday to relax when I get home :lmao:

Yep know how you feel :lmao:. I think we'll notice a huge difference this trip as, as I said earlier, we've always had my parents with us to help with the kiddies. But on our own this time.

I must do at least one cocktail though as I need to add to my collection of light up figures/ice cubes :thumbsup2:cloud9:

I'll be the woman in the HNY bar (hopefully, if we ever get hotel booked!) on her own sipping cocktails :rotfl2:.....
