Does anyone else feel the effects of the time change? I struggle for a few days before my body and mind "join together" again on the time of day.

I know there are pros and cons and I have some personal ones about the subject too, but I just don't like the "switch". I thought I still had time for a "tiny" snack and just looked at the clock and well it's way past my evening cut-off for eating - but that is not what the body says :sad2:

Guess it's just a cup of tea tonight though.

Look at you!!! ;) Sticking to the clock not your snacky starved body clock! :) Now THAT's Discipline! :)

I think there are a few places that don't change their clocks....I know Phoenix doesn't and a few others....I wonder if we travelled there on our clocks if that would make it less of a pain. I just love any opportunity to whine...but the one plus of this is my children are actually in bed an hour earlier and dh and I get some extra time together before we're both just exhausted and fall to sleep! :)

You're doing GREAT!! Keep up the GREAT eating and moving!!! :)

I'll join in on the whine! For the first week or so, it just feels like time is moving too fast or I'm moving too slow--or both. I just realized it's 8:30 and it feels like I didn't accomplish half of what I had planned to today. :confused3 After I struggle through the first couple of weeks, I'll really like having that extra hour of daylight in the evening, though.

I've felt awful all day! How can the difference of one hour have such an impact? :sad2:

Let's look at the upswing........it was beautiful in Chicago today and we got to enjoy the sun longer........yes I was doing that while taking my nap:):) because the time change told me to do it.

Have a magical Disney Day!!:):)

I absolutely LOVE the fact that it's light out a full hour later! Makes it easier to get out & exercise after dinner!

You'll find me whining in the fall when we turn the clocks back & it gets dark earlier! :earseek:

Being in Arizona NO I don't feel the change because we don't change times. But I do know the feeling when traveling especially across country when we go to Florida or the time I went to Maine. Usually get sleep soooo screwed up while in Florida I'm up all night and tired all day. :rotfl:

Same here in Indiana, although they are trying to change us to daylight savings time. I miss it from when I lived in Ohio. Right now my biggest change is getting use to my cable shows being on at different times (the local network affiliates tape the shows and air them at the time we were already use to seeing them, but cable changes).

The time change does mess with my body and mind. Once I get used to it though, I'm so happy with the daylight after dinner. We can get out and still enjoy playing, etc. I hope to get some additional walking time in too.

I am dragging soo bad today. Plus dh and I get up pretty early, so we try to go to bed btwn 9 and 9:30. Hard to do with the sun in my eyes!

Thanks for giving me this chance to whine!

and then I am going to be DONE :rotfl:

I had a very hard time falling asleep last night - then I woke up every hour and just really getting some zzzzz's when the alarm went off. Sorry to say I just didn't make it up to use the tm BUT I did manage to get a 40 minute lunch-time walk in today!

I should be more adjusted by tomorrow and yes - I really like the evening daylight too.

You know it is nice to have an official place to "whine" and then just be done!

I was really hating it this morning when I got up at 5 (which felt like 4) to go to the gym (yawn). There was only me and one other lady in the spinning class (go figure). I'm definitely going to bed early tonight. Gotta do it all over again tomorrow (double yawn).

In Indiana only part of the state changes. I like that it stays the same and don't want it to change. I went to school in Evansville where it did change and the only nice thing about it was on my drives back to campus from home, a 3.5 hour drive I only took me 2.5 since I arrived back an hour and that was nice. It was horrible on the way home becasue it took me 4.5 and I would get home so late.
It is weird being in a state that half changes. I had friends who lived in slow time and worked in fast times. Very confusing.
