Timandlesley's ROAD TRIP TO DISNEY!! ARE WE THERE YET!?!6/28 TR is up, link on pg.47!

I don't blame you sorting your dining credits out like that. Looking forward to hearing about your girlie trip!:thumbsup2

I don't think there's anything wrong with that DDP scenario. During my mom/daughter christmas trip we did something similar. We brought croissants and ate that for breakfast, and than on days where we wanted to try different things (like at the world showcase) we used 1 credit over in China and split the meal, and than another one in Morocco.

Cant wait to hear about the girls trip!

No flames here! I'm all about maximizing where you can and getting the most for your money. It's not like you're cheating the system or anything. :)

Can't wait to hear about your girls trip!

I dont think you did anything wrong. Those counter service meals can be big and think what u are doing is smart thing :thumbsup2

Oh wow. that is cool you guys went already on your ladies trip

I cant wait to hear all about it :woohoo:

Hi Lesley,

Can't wait to hear all about your girls trip ( I'm doing that in Sept.) I had a question when you were talking about CS meals. Did you mean that they don't keep track between the kids CS and adult CS? I'd love to know any tips to strech the disney dollars. Thanks!

Your meal plan idea sound great. One of the reasons we do not get the plan is it is to much food. Plus this way the kids are not stuck with the kids meals.

Summer plans sound great and cannot wait to hear about the girls weekend!!
Sure the pics are awesome!! Soon you will need an extra room to put all your collection of disney pictures in, you must have tons!!! Can never have enough photos of the greatest place on earth though!!:goodvibes

For the regular dining plan they do not separate kids counter service credits and adult credits, but if one adult went up and ordered 4 C.S. meals you would have to do 2 kids and 2 adults, hope this makes sense.

That's such a smart way to maximize the dining plan. I had no idea the c.s. weren't separated for kids and adults.

I see. So they are listed as say 20 total CS credits instead of 10 child and 10 adult. Is that right?

I think that is SO smart to split the credits up that way!!! All part of the beloved Disney Math!!! ;)

Yeah, unless things changed from October to June of this year. They do separate the sit down kids and adult credits but not the kids, if anyone has gone recently and this is changed then PLEASE let me know

Yes, it says for example
Sit downs: 10 adults 10 kids
Snacks: 20
Counterservice Credits: 20
Hoping they don't change it any time soon.

Thanks! Yes, gotta squeeze that Disney math in there somewhere.

So............ The official countdown stands at 37 days until our ROAD TRIP TO ORLANDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::dance3:
It just CAN'T get here fast enough!
I have spent the last few days making some last minute changes to dining and figuring out credits. I don't know WHERE my head was at but I forgot that with the basic dining plan they DO NOT pool the kid and adult table service credits so I had to go back to the drawing board. We are doing a date night with Diane and Bryan and putting the kids in Simba's clubhouse one night and that is 2 credits for both Tim and I and it leaves the kids with 2 EXTRA credits to use the rest of our trip.
SOOOOOOOOOO, we will be paying out of pocket for Tim and I for Biergarten and our Crystal Palace Breakfast. We were already paying out of pocket for Crystal Palace anyway but now the kids will have two credits to use at that meal I wasn't planning on.
Booked a HUGE surprise for Tim for Father's Day while we are down there, he reads this so I'm not going to post it, but you guys are going to love it so I can't wait for it to be revealed in the Trip Report.
My mission this week is locating the kids birth certificates so I have them to use with our Give a Day Get a Disney Day vouchers that we will be using to put towards our annual pass renewals.
22 more days of school for me............ summer just can't get here fast enough!!!!!!!!
-Lesley

I AM SUPER EXCITED FOR YOU GUYS. SURE IT WILL
BE A BLAST AGAIN.....NOTHING LIKE MAKING MORE
WONDERFUL DISNEY MEMORIES!!!!:cool1:

What exactly do you mean when you say "pool dining credits?" This will be our first time on the DDP so want to be sure I'm understanding it right! Thanks a bunch!

Getting so close now :woohoo:

Date night sounds great:thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear what you planned for Tim :goodvibes

Wow your trip will be here before you know it. Sounds like you have the dining credit thing worked out. Can't wait to hear about Tim's surprise.
