Tom and I are thinking of taking several small trips this year, so we are looking for destinations that are close to home. How far away is Grand Haven, MI???? I was hoping it was close enough that we could make a trip there for a long, extended weekend. Would that work?!?!?!
We have also thought of looking into another trip to Gatlinburg....any suggestions on where to stay and what to do?!?! TIA!!!
Grand Haven is WONDERFUL! From up here in the northern Cincy area it is about a 6 hour drive, just LOVE it. We have a long weekend planned and have done a long weekend there, it is GREAT!
Tim and Lesley---man has it been a LONG time since I have posted!!!! BUT, I have finally gotten myself all caught up on all your TRs--read both October's and Tim's MAN TRIP last night---so now got myself all caught up on this PTR!!!! So sorry for being MIA....life has just been too crazy!!!! I enjoyed both TRs so much as I always do!
The trip for this year sounds GREAT, and I think the drive down will be more enjoyable than you may think! Tom has it down pretty well now, and we can get from NKY--near CVG--to WDW in about 12 1/2 hours. I know he has some tricks, so I will double check with him to give you some time-saving info soon! I think the kids will enjoy the time together in the car! We always love our drive home because we just spend the 12 hours reminiscing about the trip!!!
I know the mission you dropped food off to in NKY---I did some volunteer work there in high school--and it is a shady area, but so glad that you got to drop off the food, get your vouchers, and then go!!! That savings is DEFINITELY worth it!!!

WOW, 12 1/2 hours, DO TELL!!!!! We did 14 from South Carolina yesterday (due to the STUPID 2 hour 1-40 detour due to a rock slide!) We are looking forward to the casual driv down. Glad you found the old TR's and are caught up. Can't wait for our girls trip!!!!
