Sure! You can put just 500 down right now and they put a credit for the rest to equal the 10% down. You can buy as little as 100 points to buy in which is normally a 160 minimum. We decided to do the 160 anyway since we travel during peak season. Doing so we got a bonus 160 points to use for a free vacation!!!!

YAY LESLEY!!! Welcome Home!!! We bought into AKV last summer, and we got an awesome deal too (our deal was double developer points, so we bought 160 and got 320 free points which we used for a 5 night stay in a 1BR at Boardwalk last September followed by a 3 day Disney Wonder cruise). We just got back from a 9 NIGHT stay in CONCIERGE (studio) the first week of June that was only 167 points!!! I can not tell you how much we LOVED LOVED LOVED AKL!!! It is truly awesome. I can't wait for Kidani village, but we sure did enjoy the concierge, which is only available in Jambo. Anyway, you will not regret your decision and WELCOME HOME again!!!

No, we didn't but we've seen the DVC's and have done a lot of research. The plans and pictures of Kadini village are amazing and sold us! Also knowing that CR is being built and we'll use our points there too!

They are a one time thing for one free vacation. You don't pay dues on those or anything.

Congratulations on your DVC!!! My husband and I have gone over this soooo many times, and the time is just not right-yet. Although with the deal you just got, maybe we can revisit it!!! I am happy to hear that you will be posting soon. I have read your report from the beginning and have really missed your updates!! Your family is beautiful!!!!! I am espeically enjoying this since we are scheduled for Wilderness Lodge in December of 2009. It will be my husand and I and our two daughters 3 1/2 and 6 (at the time we travel) and my mom and dad.........so your report has me really interested and excited!!! I've been reading your trip report, love it! We are going to the WL in Aug. so it's great to see what all we have to look forward too!

Today we are putting down our down payment for AKV 160 pts. I'm so excited!!!!! Congrats to you!!!!!!!!!!

Well..................... we had a FANTASTIC trip to Gatlinburg, what a fun time with Tim's family, there were 22 of us in a large cabin, the kids had a blast and so did we. We enjoyed everything the area had to offer and had so much fun!!!
Well, thanks to Sooze and Natale we are (as of tomorrow) OFFICIAL DVC members!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had been talking to Sooze about it for a while and then Natale posted that deal and it was a win win, I couldn't believe it. Tim and I are THRILLED! We will be owners at AKL. The new village sounds incredible, the resort sounds awesome with it's own zero entry pool, water slide, water play area, lobby,restaraunt, pool bar, everything we love about WL plus more. AND it will have it's own bus stop so you don't have to trek all the way over to the main bus stop. WE ARE SO THRILLED!!! We ended up getting the 160 points for AKL and with that we get 160 BONUS FREE SSR points that we can use at any of the 500 resorts around the World, we think next summer we'll stay at AKL in our home resort for 8 nights and then head to Myrtle Beach and stay 7 nights FOR FREE using the bonus points, WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!
Thanks to all of you for your kind posts while we were away and those of you who decided to come out of "lurkdom" and post, we just love that. Now that we are DVC owners our family will have Disney memories to share with you all for a VERY long time!!!!!!

Then I need to get some more out quickly to hold you over since Tim and I leave for our 10 year anniversary getaway on the 17th, busy busy busy, gotta love summer! Update tomorrow guys!!!

WELCOME HOME!!

We have been members almost 11 years - We had just paid off our initial purchase (150 points at OKW - 10 year loan); had already paid off our 2nd purchase (50 point add-on at OKW) when we had gone with some friends shopping at Woodfield Mall. They have a Disney's Doorway to Dreams there which is basically an off-site DVC "store" complete with model AKL room. By the time we left they had purchased 200 points at Saratoga Springs.......and we had purchased an additional 110 points at Saratoga. We both recieved Developer Points with our purchases. We stay in a 2BR so they eat up a lot of points - especially since we are going in August this year (instead of our typical Sept) but with all the extra points we have we were able to stay 10 nights - and still have points left over! We are looking at going on a cruise with these friends next year using points. I love DVC!!!!

I am so excited for you guys!! We bought DVC 2 years ago and I can tell you that it is the best thing we have ever done! I just wish that we had bought more points (currently have 150 at SSR). I love SSR but my favorite is WL and we will be staying there for our upcoming trip in Oct. before we leave on the Disney cruise. I love knowing that we are going back to Disney every year thanks to our DVC! My husband and I have even used it for a couples getaway for a long weekend. Congratulations!!!
