Timandlesley’s how to win a dream in 10 days 11/15 NEW PTR UP!! pg. 94 has link!!!

Love the pool bar at WL, yummy drinks.

Pot roast at PTC is my favorite too! Usually we are too full for dessert.

I just found your report and am loving it!!! My husband wants to stay at Wilderness Lodge the next time. It looks so beauthiful. I was glad to see that they have the Mickey waffles at Donald's Safari Breakfast. DH wanted to do Chef Mickey's for breakfast for the waffles but DS and I wanted the Safari Breakfast to see Daisy. He will be happy.

I am looking forward to the next installment. BTW, I live about 30 minutes from Cincy, near the east side.

Loving your trip report!

That was one of my most favorite things agout staying at the WL-swimming with the kids late in the evening and enjoying an adult beverage poolside! Now THAT is vacationing!!

Cant wait to read more.

Great Shots... love the video too :)

Glad to see you got into PTC.... I love it there too hehe... .

TSM again... yay :)

Loved the update again! I always have that fear that they lost our ADR but so far have had no problems. Glad they got you in there even if it was a little bit later than you had planned. Gave you a chance to ride TSM. We all LOVED that ride! I can't remember my score but it wasn't very good, I do know that.

I'm answering a question you asked earlier about DVC points. After the DVC member made the reservation, we paid half as a deposit. Then after they switched the reservation into our names and mailed us the confirmation, we sent the balance. Hope that helps.

Can't wait for the next update.

Alice

Great update!!
Thank you!
I LOVE your trip reports Lesley...you always have me laughing! :lmao: can't wait for the next installment...:thumbsup2
Thanks so much, glad you get a kick out of em'

Hi I'm really loving your trip report. Your husband reminds me of mine. Although mine would be limping and gasping for breath :rotfl2: It's always good to travel with you own comic relief:lmao:
So glad you are enjoying it. Yes, laughter on vacation is the best kind!

Great update. Love the video! Very curious about your next update! I thought that Prime Time didn't pick on the kids much. Poor Lauren. Prime Time sounds like they have such yummy food but I'm too scared to eat there - just like WCC.
So glad you are enjoying it, next update coming up next! Oh I say, give those restaraunts a try, you'll love em'!

great update and pics.
Thank you, thanks for reading/posting.
Lesley - great trip report with all these pictures.

You have the same Mickey icon charm necklace that I do. I wear it every trip and for a few days after. Then sadly, put it away until next trip.

:cool2:
Oh, how could you put them away, mine are year round!!!

Lesley--the video and update were GREAT!!! We had to run a couple times like that as well to our bus--made them just in time! We just so happened to be at DHS that night as well--I bet we just missed each other on TSM!! I stayed in the park late that night to do a little shopping!! Hmmmm, I wonder what I was shopping for? ;o)
So glad you liked them, more videos to come. Can't wait to show you my b-day gift, stay tuned!
we were in the park that night too! AND didn't get any rain on us this time!!
So funny, wish we would have run into you guys again.
Ahh, such fun Disney times!! :goodvibes I love the bus stop walk video. :)

Ok, you beat my 111,000 TSM score, with your 112,300 score!! :thumbsup2 I was just reading the secrets thread for that ride...I'll definitely score better next time I ride it!

We're going to try Prime Time for the first time next trip. I felt so bad for poor little Lauren!! I hope we get an easy server! lol

P.S. What date are we on now? I've lost track!
I'll have to check out that thread, I ride again and get an even better score, but never could beat Tim.
Lesley

Awwwwww... poor Lauren at PTC!! Did you guys warn her ahead of time of the 'mommies' at the restaurant that like to harass you?! Thanks for the picture of the Pot Roast... man, I miss that.. one of the most DELICIOUS things EVER!!!

The video is hilarious!! Security butt..:rotfl: I love hearing the kids just jabbering up a storm.. so excited and happy to be there! And I heard Luke spot the bus way before Tim.. that's great!

How fun that Lauren got to eat Cheetos before bed and swim at 9:30... gotta love vacations.

popcorn:: Next?
Oh yes, we warned her ahead of time and kept telling her they were just kidding during the meal but she still took it hard, but no tears so that was good. Glad you loved the video. Next is coming up tonight!

I think I would've turned off the camera when I finally realized the bus was really there, but not Tim...he just sprinted and kept the camera rolling to capture the memories for all of us...thanks:thumbsup2 .
I know, that's so funny, I couldn't believe he was still taping, so funny!

I don't think I could have made it more than 12 hours without a trip to the WL pool, we had so much fun there! You all have been busy though. Cannot wait for more!
Isn't the pool the best, just love it!

That video is hilarious!

You've probably already explained this, but could you run through the procedure of getting water delivered from Costco? Like how long before the trip did you order it and did you just give them the hotel's address? Thanks so much!
SURE! I get on the Costco website (I'm not even a member) 7 days before each trip. In the To line I put our first and last name. In the address line I put the address of the resort (I found it online). In the second address line I put "hold for checkin on June 9th". It is always there waiting for us at checkin. It is GREAT! I got two cases of water SHIPPED for less than 15.00, you just can't beat that. Of course Costco has snacks and stuff too you could ship as well. Hope this helps!

Their pot roast is yummy, but I found better this trip, it's in my next update!

So glad you found us and are enjoying it so far. That will be great, you can see Daisy AND get Mickey waffles so everyone can be happy. Small world, great to have another Ohioan on board!

I know, it sent me in a bit of a panic especially since I had the ressie number, I don't know if I didnt have that written down if they would have squeezed us in because they were turning people away left and right that night. Thanks for the DVC info, I'm trying to find someone who is selling points.
Lesley
This is one crazy hopping thread!
I know, isn't it great, such fun! Glad you are here for it!

Day 5 Installment 1:
So we had an EARLY wake up call on this morning because we had 8:00 ressies at the Poly for our first breakfast with Stitch and Lilo, didn’t mind the Stitch phone call this morning because it was very appropriate : )
We headed to the boat dock at 7:25 to catch a boat to the Contemporary resort:
DSC01163Small-1.jpg

Sorry for that UGLY/NASTY bruise on my leg. The night before we left I tripped and fell in the dark (o.k. there might have been a glass or two of wine involved) over a suitcase as I was headed to bed, I forgot I placed the suitcase in front of the door and OUCH! That bruise was with us all 10 days of Disney and occassionaly rears it’s ugly head in photo’s.
We got off of the boat, went to the Contemporary and took the Monorail to the Poly. Here are the kids waiting as Tim checked us in:
DSC01165Small-1.jpg

The food came out quick and was YUMMY! Here is a happy Tim with his sausage:
DSC01168Small-1.jpg

It was served family style and had eggs, bacon, sausage, mickey waffles, this yummy java juice that Lauren and I loved but the boys didn’t care for and biscuits. We all enjoyed this meal very much.
Here are the kids dancing around the restaurant with Lilo:
DSC01169Small.jpg

DSC01170Small.jpg

Here is Lauren loving the juice:
DSC01172Small.jpg

And Luke trying to wash the taste of the juice out of his mouth:
DSC01178Small.jpg

And Tim continued to enjoy his sausage:
DSC01177Small.jpg

The kids were THRILLED to meet Stitch:
DSC01173Small.jpg

DSC01174Small.jpg

DSC01176Small.jpg

I was happy to see my best friend Mickey:
DSC01180Small.jpg

The Pluto came by:
DSC01182Small.jpg

DSC01181Small.jpg

Then Lilo:
DSC01183Small.jpg

So once again I had asked our waitress for our bill ahead of time, this lady was an incredibly good waitress, WAY nice and super accommodating. We were out of the restaurant by 8:50 and Tim was in a bit of a panic about not being there at rope drop. He loves being there at rope drop (so do I).
We headed in and he greeted everyone on MainStreet as he always does;
DSC01186Small.jpg

It was a crowded morning as usual
DSC01188Small.jpg

Every morning at rope drop we discuss what we should ride and Tim always says he has a “feeling” of where the dream squad would be. This morning he said Tomorrowland, particularly the Transit Authority, Buzz, LaughFloor, etc. but he was really pushing for Transit authority. . I spoke up, said I disagreed, I didn’t want to waste precious first opening time on the TTA when you never wait there and said we should do Buzz Lightyear, so we headed there to Tomorrowland :
DSC01189Small.jpg

Tim grabbed FP’s for Space Mtn. and then we headed to park the stroller.
Tim took the stroller to park it and I was trying to ditch it and run, he started talking to a CM, taking his sweet time, asked me why I didn’t tie the ribbon on the stroller, etc. We had read on the Dis that you should tie a ribbon on the strollers for easy identification and we had been doing this throughout the trip, and you know how many strollers there are over in Tomorrowland. Well, he got out the ribbon, tied it on, talked to the Cm about it, because she thought it was a great idea, Yadda Yadda Yadda, seemed to take forever. As we were waiting on Tim I took this pic of the kids in front of the ride:
DSC01190Small.jpg

Tim FINALLY was done messing with the stroller and we went in. My heart RACED as I saw the Dream Squad in the cue handing out DREAM FASTPASSES, I couldn’t’ believe it. They stopped handing them out about 5 people in front of us. If that stupid stroller hadn’t taken up all that time (Dis working against us as Tim put on the last t.v.) we would have scored Dream Fastpasses for our MK day. This totally stunk and Tim felt so bad for it. Oh well, moving on, we’re in Magic Kingdom baby, RIGHT!?!?
Time for Buzz:
DSC01191Small.jpg

Afterwards we went on the TTA:
DSC01192Small.jpg

Luke loved to wave to everyone below and say “HELLO MAGIC KINGDOM” : )
DSC01194Small.jpg

We took the elevator back down after the TTA:
DSC01195Small.jpg

And headed to rope drop at ToonTown, it was super crowded:
DSC01196Small.jpg

These guys came to release the rope and a lucky family was selected to ride Goofy’s Barnstormer with Goofy:
DSC01197Small.jpg

The kids sprinted for Mickey’s House:
DSC01198Small.jpg

Happy Luke in the house:
DSC01199Small.jpg

Then we stopped at Lauren’s DREAM HOUSE:
DSC01200Small.jpg

As always the kids had a blast playing in Minnie’s house:
DSC01201Small.jpg

DSC01204Small.jpg

Then we decided to head to the Teacups, I have NEVER ridden these, it was such fun (Tim sat out because he can’t do spin rides):
Lauren was so excited to ride:
DSC01205Small.jpg

Here’s Luke on the teacups:
DSC01206Small.jpg

A self portrait on the cups:
DSC01207Small.jpg

After that we headed to the Indy Speedway:
DSC01208Small.jpg

Luke wanted to ride so bad, he didn’t meet height so I had low hopes but as we were approaching we asked and he said “he can drive him” meaning Luke could drive Tim. COOL!!!! Luke was thrilled to be behind the wheel:
DSC01209Small.jpg

Tim took this of Lauren and I:
DSC01210Small.jpg

He took this of Luke and himself on their ride:
DSC01211Small.jpg

After that fun we headed to Space Mtn. I was PRAYING Lauren would make height and we could all ride together:
DSC01214Small.jpg

I’m happy to report, she was able to ride. I couldn’t believe it but they didn’t even check her height once!!! She loved the ride and laughed the whole time, it was such a great ride. I love being able to ride things as a family.
After Space Mtn. we headed to the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Here is Tim texting in our joke:
DSC01216Small.jpg

It was “how do you make a tissue dance? Put a little boogie in it” It actually got picked and was in the show, Luke and Lauren were thrilled because they said their joke and their names, it was great. I love that show, so funny. I hope Tim gets picked someday because he’d be great at acting for it.
After that we decided we deserved to use our snack credits for ice cream:
DSC01217Small.jpg

And in life you always have to take time out to play with balls:
DSC01218Small.jpg

I know we always do : )
DSC01219Small.jpg

DSC01220Small.jpg

After that we were excited to eat at Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch, we had never eaten there before:
DSC01221Small.jpg

Tim had fun with a fire poker in the lobby:
DSC01222Small.jpg

I thought this restaurant was very nice. I got Clam Chowder for my appetizer, YUMMY, I’m a huge Clam Chowder fan:
DSC01225Small.jpg

Tim got Mozerella Cheese Sticks, he said they were yummy:
DSC01223Small.jpg

Luckily this was another restaurant that had something other than chicken nuggets and hot dogs for kids menu. The kids got turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy which they loved:
DSC01226Small.jpg

Tim and I asked our very nice waitress what we should order and she went on and on about how their pot roast is prepared and how awesome it is so we both had that:
DSC01227Small.jpg

It was out of this world, put 50’s Prime Time to shame, really, it was delicious.
For desert she recommended the ooey gooey toffee cake:
DSC01229Small.jpg

Tim and I both had that and honestly that was THE BEST DESERT of the ENTIRE trip, hands down, this thing is freakin’ amazing, HIGHLY recommend it!!!!
Lauren got ice cream (for the second time that day, gotta love vacation):
DSC01230Small.jpg

I was surprised that Luke ordered fruit for his desert, he enjoyed that as well.
This is where the tipping conversation came into play. This waitress seemed super nice and I told her we would be tipping in cash (forget how it came up) we asked her about how that was going on the new dining plan, etc. She said that it is awful, she feels terrible even having to bring it up and wishes there was a better way for Disney to phrase it to customers so they don’t get stiffed. She said she has seen an increase in service from her peers and said it was awful but on the old dining plan waiters and waitresses would know they were getting the 18% automatically from those customers and wouldn’t treat them as well which she thought was awful but now with this new system they work super hard and she said she is overall doing o.k. but gets stiffed on occasion as well which is a shame. They now have this card in your bill:
DSC01231Small.jpg

It talks about tipping on the dining plan, etc. and each bill has the figure for 18% and 20% for tip amounts, it does make it a bit akward. We tipped in cash each time and just wrote “cash” on the line and as I said before that was set aside ahead of time so I didn’t have to worry about it, but I thought this conversation was interesting with this waitress and I wonder what Disney will do about it in the long run. I was under the impression that the wait staff had pushed for the change but after talking to her got the impression it was all Disney management. Interesting………………
So after our bellies were full with an incredible lunch we decided to head out.
Tim took a turn selling balloons on Main Street:
DSC01233Small.jpg

Then we decided to try and find a family to give our stroller away to. We had the kids get out of the stroller at the train station as we searched for a family. We found one and gave it away and headed for the exit. I turned around and NO LAUREN!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD WHERE IS LAUREN!!?? (I must preface this by saying that Lauren lives in a world of her own and too often this trip she would be in her own little world singing away and would wander off, she had been told time and time again to stay by us, and we had caught her wandering many times, but this time SHE WAS NOWHERE IN SIGHT!!! Oh my Lord, time stood still. I started screaming. I LOST MY DAUGHTER! To the CM’s at the gate. .The CM’s took immediate action and were wonderful. “What did she look like” this CM said. I started screaming “She’s 4 years old, her hair is up, she is this tall (hands showing her height) she is wearing a purple Belle shirt”. They started to shut down the gate so no one could go out (truly they were AMAZING). I was scanning the crowd towards the train station all the way to the boat dock. Tim had darted back toward the train station, Luke and I remained at the gate screaming for her along with the CM’s. Luke was losing it at this point, crying and shaking saying “I LOST MY LITTLE SISTER” and screaming “LAUREN GEORGIA!?!!?!?!” “ LAUREN GEORGIA WHERE ARE YOU???” He said both of those things over and over and over again. About 3 minutes of this went by and it seemed like an eternity. Tim appeared from the train station holding Lauren. OH MY GOD! I ran over to her and swooped her up in my arms. She was back there talking to a CM and crying, she knew she was lost. The CM’s who were helping me at the gate came over and were amazing asking “are you alright mom?” Then they asked Luke “are you alright little guy”. They looked at me and said, “Oh my gosh, we felt so sorry for him, he was so upset and shaking”. I said “I know, we all were so upset”. The CM continued to be amazing and she handed pixie dust to Lauren, put it in her hand and told her to throw it which put a smile on her face, then she did the same to Luke, they sprinkled it in Lauren’s hair too.
This was such a horrible experience but these CM’s were so amazing, I wish I had their names I would write letters to Disney about how wonderful they were.
Well, crisis overted we headed to the boat.
Here is my baby girl who I thought I’d never see again:
DSC01236Small.jpg

Luke wanted to sit by her on the boat and he didn’t let go of her the entire ride:
DSC01239Small.jpg

Here was Laurens hair with the pixie dust from the CM:
DSC01237Small.jpg

When we got off the boat Luke still was holding her hand, so cute!
DSC01241Small.jpg

We headed back to the room to get cleaned up.

What a scary few minutes for all of you!!!! :scared1:
Glad everything turned out well--great updates as always! You guys do a nice a great job in reporting-it feels like I was right there with you all!!:thumbsup2

Oh Lesley... I am sure that seemed like hours when you could not find Lauren- too scary. We lost Hannah at our church festival when she was almost 2--- and I still get a sick feeling just thinking about it.

Liberty Tree looks yummy for lunch... have to remember that. We had dinner there, but never lunch. Glad Lauren liked and could ride Space Mountain- fun!

Breakfast at the Poly looks good too!

:scared1: OMG!!! Your poor family!! Seconds must have seemed like hours! Thank goodness for the AWESOME CM'S:thumbsup2 LOVE the pics. of Luke holding tight to Lauren, too cute:hug: :headache: Dang, just missing the fastpasses. I feel bad, but I know I suggested the ribbon to you:duck: Tell Tim he's supposed to talk to the CM's AFTER the ride, not before!!!:rotfl2: Focus Tim..tie the ribbon FASTER:rotfl: It was so nice to hear a good review of LTT, because usually they are mixed! YAY, for Lauren riding Space Mountain too! Can't wait to tell the boys she got to ride! They will give a big thumbs up I'm sure:thumbsup2 GREAT pics. at Ohana! Looking forward to more!popcorn::

Lesley

Thank you SO much! That's awesome! And so are you!

Lesley, I totally cried when I read the part about Lauren being lost -- that has got to be a parent's worst nightmare!!! The CMs were awesome though and I loved the pixie dust they gave Lauren.

After reading all your posts about your meals, I really want to do the deluxe dining plan next year -- especially after this last one about the Liberty Tree Tavern and that ooey gooey toffee cake. Mmmmm!!!!

Wonderful morning at the Magic Kingdom except for missing out on the Fast Passes and the scare with Lauren!

wow.......LTT for lunch looks awesome! we did it in april for dinner and it was really good, but the menu is different at lunch. i'm gonna have to try it one day!

Tim took a turn selling balloons on Main Street:
DSC01233Small.jpg

i love this! :rotfl:

your story about losing lauren made me cry! how awful!!! i felt so sorry for luke and, well, all of you! it's so awesome how the CMs were so wonderful to you. NOWHERE ELSE would you get this kind of a reaction from amusement park workers!!! so glad you found her and that everyone was okay. how scary!!!
