Timandlesley’s how to win a dream in 10 days 11/15 NEW PTR UP!! pg. 94 has link!!!

Tusker house looks pretty fun.... Did you try any of the Yak and Yeti CS at all???

Sorry to hear about the double splashing on Kali.... But I am sure it was a blast too :yay:

NO NEMO.... AGAIN!?!?! You are killing me!!;) I sure hope they don't change it to WallE: The Musical before you get to see it!:rotfl:

You know, we have not been big water ride fans, but we usually go in September and January. Now that we are taking this quickie in mid-July, when I'm SURE it will be scorching, maybe we'll try some! Kali looked like a lot of fun.

I HATE leaving my cell phone behind. Don't you feel so LOST?!

I see whining in your next update.. ready to see what happened!

How funny that you got soaked twice on Kali at least it was a lovely hot day.

What a shame Lauren didn't make it on EE, always next trip I suppose!

It's so good to hear a good review of Y&Y, we hope to do the CS in August!

love the pic of Lauren with Pocahontas! I was debating trying Yak and Yeti this next trip and we decided against it, your review makes me wish I went with my gut.

Great installment :)

Can't wait to hear about the tipping in an upcoming installment. You have me curious.
I too wonder about the about of time you spend sitting and eating on the deluxe plan.

You seem to be doing it well. I bet that soaking on Kali felt good/great.

Keep up the great tr. I totally understand about not being able to answer every comment.

Loving the ride with you guys:woohoo:

Loved your latest installment. Sorry Lauren didn't get to ride EE. Like others have said, there's always next time. We have to have a reason to go back, right?

Yak and Yeti looked yummy. We'll definitely be doing that next year. I'm ready to start planning now. And we're also thinking about renting points for the Boardwalk next summer. We've rented points the past three years - stayed at OKW two years and SSR this year. Our first trip was with friends who own at BCV so we got spoiled right away. Nothing better than Stormalong Bay and being able to walk to Epcot.

Looking forward to the next update!:)

Luke is such a ham!!!! The update was so good and the pictures awesome!!:thumbsup2

another great update-- I am soo ready to be there already! And at the wilderness lodge to booT!

I think Lauren is absolutly beautiful!! Love all the pics- keep'em comin!

Your family is just adorable! OMG! So cute! Little Lauren sleeping on the safari! Ahhh!

I can't wait for our early dinner at Yak & Yetti! It looks so good! Your right about seeing the same things for kids on the kiddie menus. Mine are too old now for the kidde menus this year. So, it'll be interesting to see what my DD 11 eats this year!

I showed my DH the videos of your Bfast at WCC! He loves that restaurant! Our DS then 14 was put in "jail" last time we dined there! My DH was cracking up at your videos!

Great trip report!!!!!!!!!!!!!

do u remember what drink Tim had? was it the Yak Attack?
It wasnt the Yak Attack, we can't remember the specific name but know it had the word "blue" in it, it was on their drink menu.

The deluxe dining plan looks awesome. We always have a hard time deciding on our table services.
It was SUCH fun being able to try everything we wanted, I highly recommend deluxe dining, such fun!

Thanks for asking Scott, I was wondering the same thing:lmao:

I have to say I was hoping the Tusker House Bfast would be a slower paced character interaction. When it was Breakfastosaurus we found the characters moved through too quickly and even had to ask for some we hadn't seen.

Great update as always:thumbsup2
Maybe it was being the first reservation of the day and it being a packed restaraunt but it was more rushed than Chef Mickey's for sure.

Finally all caught up. Nice updates Lesley!

I would have just waited 15 minutes for the lady to change out with a new cm at EE.
Good thought, oh well.
Great update! We did the same as you in April and asked for the bill upfront at our breakfasts, what a timesaver. I agree about the location, so far from EE! So glad you liked Y&Y, I remember you were worried about what the kids would eat! We LOVED it too:thumbsup2 Question for you, you seemed to really love the deluxe dining. Did you feel it was a value or did you use it more so there was no "thinking" or "budgeting" for food? Just curious. Did you find that you spent alot of time sitting and eating or was it a good balance? Thanks Lesley!:goodvibes
Isn't that bill trick great! Actually we felt it was a tremendous value, our average bill for dinner and sit down lunches was 150-170.00!!!! So on an average day if we did a character meal that was around 75.00, then 150 for lunch and let's say 160.00 for dinner, that totals 385 just for meals and then we also got 8 snack credits to use per day so if you figure on the way low end of 2.50 per snack that's an additional 20 bucks, so close to 400 a day on food and the deluxe dining plan cost us 196 for our family per night so that is a HUGE savings in my oppinion! Isn't it GREAT!!! Oh yes, I tipped about 12 bucks per buffet and about 20 dollars per nice sit down so minus out 52 dollars in that savings but your still at over 150 in savings per day! And don't get me wrong the "not thinking" part was very nice.
Lesley

i read your latest installment last night, had a nice, neat little reply all done and when i tried to post it, the disboards had gone down for a few hours for maintenance. :headache: so i will try to do the best i can with remembering what i wrote!

so glad to see the tusker house review! we're going to the character breakfast in december with our friends and their 4yo DS, so i'm happy they have the activity for the kids.

we rode in the front on EE twice last year and it was really cool to see the track change over! totally wasn't expecting to see it. next time try the very back - the view's not as good but it goes WAY faster back there!!! :scared1:

i can't believe lauren fell asleep on the bumpy safari ride! :rotfl:

we tried to see nemo this year, too, but it didn't happen for us either. the timing just wouldn't work out. it seems they don't schedule this show as often as FOLK (at least when we were there) and i just couldn't justify spending the amount of time it took to work it in b/c supposedly you have to get there 45 minutes ahead of time to stand in line. like you, i just tell myself, "next time!" it's another excuse to go back! :thumbsup2
Hey Dawn, don't you hate it when that happens! The 4 year old will love Tusker House, my kids sure did. Yes, that was so cool seeing the track flip, I was like a little kid "LOOK TIM, THE TRACK JUST FLIPPED" he had sat up front on every ride so wasn't quite as impressed;) I'll have to try the back some time. I wish they would add more Nemo shows or put another one in the morning, they have too many afternoon shows in my oppinion and it makes it hard to squeeze in, but next year we just HAVE TO!
Lesley

Great Update!

I think I might have to make a lunch reservation for Yak and Yeti. Your review is making me hungry.
I woud highly recommend it, it was so good!

When my Mom and I went in December, we arrived at Nemo just a few minutes before the show and we walked right in and had no problems. I guess it all depends on what time of year you go. I would not be doing it if I had to be there 45 minutes beforehand. Like you, I don't think waiting that long for something is maximizing my time.
That is good to know, was it a crowded Christmas time in December or low crowds. I also couldn't justify an hour and a half total out of our day when we only spend 1/2 a day in this park.

Hello!!! i just got all cought up on your trip report. It's great!!! :cool1: I can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip....it's getting me sooo excited for my trip in August!!!
So glad you are all caught up, August will be here soon, take me with you!!!

Tusker house looks pretty fun.... Did you try any of the Yak and Yeti CS at all???

Sorry to hear about the double splashing on Kali.... But I am sure it was a blast too :yay:
I saw the Counterservice and it had the eggrolls, etc. on the menu, the food looked good from there too. Oh yes, I just love Kali, such fun and the theming is awesome too.

NO NEMO.... AGAIN!?!?! You are killing me!!;) I sure hope they don't change it to WallE: The Musical before you get to see it!:rotfl:

I know, I thought of you when we were down there and we didn't squeeze it in, I knew you'd be disappointed ;) . Have you seen WallE by the way, we went and it was such a good movie.
You have to try Kali, it's such fun and you will be wanting some water relief in July. Yes, SO lost without a cell.
Lesley

Wow! Yak & Yeti's looks awesome! We might have to try that sometime in a future trip.
I highly recommend you do.

How funny that you got soaked twice on Kali at least it was a lovely hot day.

It's so good to hear a good review of Y&Y, we hope to do the CS in August!
It was so funny to get soaked twice, but lots of fun too. Yes, EE on our next trip for Lauren for sure! Hope you go to Y&Y in August.

For some reason my post went in before your
installment!! How'd that happen??:confused3
I saw that, it didn't make sense to me either, how weird.

love the pic of Lauren with Pocahontas! I was debating trying Yak and Yeti this next trip and we decided against it, your review makes me wish I went with my gut.

Great installment :)
Glad yo uliked that pic. Oh well, you can try it next time.

Loving the ride with you guys:woohoo:
We didn't feel too much time was spent on dining because honestly with CS you spend so much time in line, etc. and then fighting for table space, etc. it was super nice to just sit down and be waited on in air conditioning with awesome meals. Our lunches averaged about an hour at the table which to us didn't seem like long and we enjoyed the meals so much and so did the kids (and again, the air conditioning) it was a welcome break. Breakfasts were always before parks opened so that was cool and dinners were just part of the overall experience for us. I'm trying to answer comments as things have slowed down a bit, hope I didn't scare people off.

So glad you enjoyed it. Yes, another reason to go back, there are so many reasons to return year after year aren't there? You will love Yak and Yeti, so good. I hope we can find a reliable person to rent points from. How much money did you have to put down to book points?
Lesley

Thanks foe the great update!! Yak and Yeti's looks awesome!!
Glad you enjoyed it, it was awesome!

Luke is such a ham!!!! The update was so good and the pictures awesome!!:thumbsup2
I know, he is his father's son indeed : )

Thank you, that is very sweet. You will love Yak and Yeti, such good food. The kids menus really need to change, they are sooooo boring! I think for deluxe dining since you pay more you should get a little more variety. Glad your DH enjoyed the WCC videos. I saw someone in jail there that night too, we just love that meal.
Lesley

Yeah Lesley I did decide on WL, I sent you a PM, did you not get it:confused3 I am soooooo very excited, we have never been to WL before- the pics look so nice!

Awesome update. Sounds like y'all had a great morning in AK. Isn't it funny how AK seems so much hotter than the other parks?
Can't wait to find out what you get for your birthday. I'm sure it's going to be good!

I rarely find a good trip report to read and this IS DEFINITELY one of the good ones. I need another update...I NEED ANOTHER UPDATE OR I'LL GO BANANAS!!!! :crazy2:
