Tim Tebow

As long as Tebow doesn't end up in Chicago I'll be happy, lol.

Lived in FL for the Tebow years, then Denver. I could use the break. :rotfl:

Manning is a done deal and they are trying to trade Tebow. It is a great deal for Denver. They had to make the switch from Tebow but the city was so Tebow crazy they would anger the fans. Now, with Manning, no one seems to care about Tim anymore.

that was my first thought. Elway must be one of the happiest guys in Denver. He's got a great quarterback, and he doesn't have a public relations hit getting rid of Tebow.

Unless Manning is injured. And that is a good possibility with his injury

Yep. A lot of questions still to be answered. Regardless though we all knew Elway was looking to get Tebow out of Denver. So if signing Peyton allows that to happen it may just be worth the money Peyton is being paid even if he never plays a down in the regular season.

Not sure whose neck is more on the chopping block, Mannings or John Elways....

I think Elway should refund or replace jerseys. I would be some upset if I spent good money on a jersey, and then they deal that guy like Tebow was. My iPad autocorrects Tebow with a capital letter, manning is not autocorrected...lol. That says something doesn't it?

I don't know why they can't keep both? A lot of people think manning won't last. 4 neck surgeries is pretty serious IMHO. I am not hoping manning gets hurt at all, I just think its a huge gamble trading a winner like Tebow for probably nothing but picks, for a 36 year old qb that may or may not be seriously injured from a blindside hit from someone like James Harrison(not a fan btw).

Players are traded all of the time, they leave teams all of the time. Jerseys go to waste all of the time. I choose Jerseys that do no relate to a particular player, that way I never have that issue. And your Autocorrect corrects that way based on YOUR usage.

Root for the team on the front of the jersey & not the name on the back. Solves your buying jerseys issue...

When the nhl's Columbus blue jackets traded Jeff Carter to LA Kings and picked up Jack Johnson the offered to switch the names for free because Jack Johnson happened to pick the same number. I guess that is not the same scenario in Denver, but I would still be upset. My all time favorite athlete was is and always will be Steve Yzerman, he only played for one team.

I was not aware about autocorrect working that way.

I don't buy jersey with names on them. I am more of a hat guy. Besides going to the game, wearing a jersey is kind of weird IMHO. A hat I can wear all year.
Also there is nothing wrong with rooting for team and player.
The nfl basically has a license to print money, a lot of that comes from jersey sales.
Why not offer a trade in. Return the Tebow and get a shiny new Manning jersey. Otherwise all those Tebow jersey are going to be left in closets.

I have 1 jersey. Mean Joe Green

If you buy any jersey, buy one of a retired player. Otherwise, dont buy one with a name on it.

Elway and Manning are both pretentious jerks. Both Elway and Manning couldn't stand Tebow taking in all that attention (not to mention the relentless ridiculing). Which he didn't ask for. He always talked about his teammates never about himself. I guess I can understand why now. Elway was and is TOO full of himself and can't really understand or respect a player that isn't completely in love with himself. I truly believe Manning chose Denver in part to take Tebow out, that or Money because clearly San Fran was a better fit for him to get back to a Superbowl. Of course it could be the money. And why is everybody in Denver so excited about getting a player that his OWN franchise where he WON a SB for them doesn't even want him??? They have to know something about that injury. Only time will tell!

On a good note we get to play the Broncos this year and I am praying our Baltimore Raven SUGGS is salivating at the prospect of bringing ole PM down and letting MR Elway go white with worry that his 37 year old 15 mill man might get hurt!
We don't like either the Elways or the Mannings in this part of town!

Good luck Tim. Where ever you go I hope you are appreciated. I know we in Baltimore worship you for bringing those Steelers down!

I hope Tebow doesn't go to the Pats either because I can't stand them! I am hoping Tebow ends up in Jacksonville - it would be a great reason for me to visit Disney and catch Tebow in action, what more could a girl want??:thumbsup2

It's hard to be mad at Manning. He just wants to win one more time before he's done. How much time does he really have even if he is healthy? Manning, if healthy, will instantly make Denver a better team. They could be legitimate contenders next season.

Tebow, on the other hand, just isn't there yet and may never be there. Right now, he is just a weak quaterback. In a few seasons, he may be great, once his running ability supplements a good passing game. Until then, he is completely one dimensional. Defenses will just tee off on him game after game until, like every other run-first quaterback, he is injured.

Still, I am surprised at Elway. Manning is clearly a win-now player. You're not looking to the future by taking Manning. It just seems a little short sighted for Elway. Of course, he may be convinced Tebow will never win and is using Manning to give Denver a chanceuntil they can get a good, young QB.

One interesting thing is the choice of venues. Manning played in a dome his whole career. I wonder what the weather in Denver will do to Manning. Not to mention the lack of oxygen. I can't wait until the season starts!

Not to mention frozen turf. Getting hammered on a padded carpet vs frozen turf is much different.

He played all his away games in domes too?

The best part about all of this is how all these guys such as McGahee saying how Manning is going to take the Broncos to a new level...Guess we know how Tebow's teammates truly feel about his abilities/limitations at QB....

Hopefully Tebow will not get traded to The Pats, I don't know if I could stomach full time Tebowmania, it's bad enough from afar. But supposedly the Broncos like one or both of the Pats backup QBs enough to want to try and flip Tebow for one of them. I can see them doing a sign and trade deal with Brian Hoyer with some draft picks being swapped as well, like a 3rd for a 2nd or a 4th for a 3rd type deal. I really hope that doesn't happen but as we say up here in NE, "In Bill We Trust" so I will have to get over it if Bill thinks it's good for the team, it's good for the team.

I have a feeling though that Miami will trade for Tebow out of pure desperation, the Jaguars don't need him as both Henne and Gabbard have more upside at the QB position so I don't see them trading for him. I can see the Jags signing him if the Donkeys release Tebow. Another team to keep an eye on is Minnesota....

That is a total myth about Denver. The weather isn't bad at all. Chicago (usually) has worse winters. Aside from the Dome, Indianapolis is likely the worse of the two cities.

Denver is very mild weather wise. Sure when it snows you get a ton but the next day it is in the 40s and everything melts. There are few below freezing stretches and it's rare to drop below zero for any significant amount of time.

The altitude takes some getting used to but it is each to acclimate. People do it all the time and it will help him at normal levels. That is why elite athletes train at altitude.
