Tim Tebow

Thing is, Tebow and the Broncos weren't expected to win--at least not by anyone who really follows football. New England was supposed to win, so it's not a big deal.

The fun of this has been that they were defying all odds and winning.

:thumbsup2

But hey the haters can keep on hating and feel better about it now. ;)

The SNL skit was too funny. I am sure Tim had a chuckle himself.

True, as I said before Brady was driven and determined to beat the Broncos for 2 reasons

1. to clinch the AFC East
2. to beat Tebow and stick it to the media. When he Gronked that ball after the rushing TD he sent a message, not now, not never I'm Tom flippin Brady.

As a Pats fan I was worried when the Donkeys offense man handled the Pats D in the 1st Qtr, but that look in Brady's eyes calmed me, one could see the passion and determination to win in his eyes on the sideline when he was warming up after the broncos marched down the field in the 1st Qtr.

True to His word, He took the day off from football. "Nephew" Tom did great - and what mechanics!

:rotfl: one of the best skits I have seen on SNL in a while, the actor playing Tebow was great, his facial expressions were priceless!!!

I think this loss to the Pats emphasizes what has been said about Tebow since day one. All in all, Tebow played the game he has always played. But the other players didnt, and they lost.

You can now see who has been winning the Denver games. The same guys who failed to execute this game.

Tebow is NOT the key to this team.

Tebow didn't play the game he always plays. He played much more like a quarterback. ;)

That's just not true, he went 11 for 22 for 194 yds with a 50.0 completion % and 0 passing TDs, which is actually down from the prior 2 weeks. Tebow played the same exact game he has been playing all along. Actually worse because he was sacked 4 times and he turned the ball over on a strip sack.

That aside, the Broncos lost because they couldn't take care of the ball when they needed to and they did not have the ability on D to stop the Offensive Juggernaut that is the NE Patriots. Not to mention the Broncos offense with the exception of the garbage time TD in the 4th fizzled out once the Pats D settled in after the initial shock of the 1st Qtr.

I thought that was pretty awful of Tom Brady....made me lose respect for him.

He just wanted to stick it to Tim Tebow on the field since most everyone can see Tim is a far more exemplary human being in every respect off the field.

Um, OK. I didn't watch the game. I couldn't find anything in the thread that indicated what "that" was. :confused3

sorry but your post was dripping with sarcasm...I would bet they showed it on Sportscenter...it was just really emphasized and in your face.

How is that even quantifiable? Tom Brady is a good human being off the field, by all accounts he is a great Father, he doesn't get into any trouble (i.e. drugs or alcohol) and he does Charity work. They are equals off the field as they are both Great Humans.....

However, only one is at present a great Professional NFL QB. Tom Brady is a million times the NFL QB that Tebow is right now, that's not even a question...All the media did all week was focus on Tebow so Brady did what every great competitor would do and that's win and look good doing it. This isn't something new, this is how Brady has responded on the field his entire career, he is intense and he takes no prisoners, nor should he. Every great QB is that intense, even Manning has his quirks that he uses to get under the opponents skin, Rodgers does the Wrestling Championship strap celebration, Brees does the fist pump , Rothlisbergher does the "Montana-like" TD arms in the air and Brady spikes the ball and smiles into the camera.

It's a Professional Sport, part of the game is psychological, you need to stick it to the other team so they lose heart or to send a message. Brady used it to send a message because the Denver fans booed him during the pre-game introductions, it's that simple. You boo Brady and he will give you a reason to zip it :goodvibes

Funny thing is Ive never heard TT be anything but respectful about Brady and his talent....:confused3

But I might be biased as Im not a fan of Brady or Belichick. ;)

Excuse me? Tim's life revolves around serving others, and by others, I don't mean supermodels. And let's not forget Tom's baby mamma predicament. I'm not saying he's Michael Vick, be he's clearly no Tim Tebow.

Ok so based upon your personal worldview, according to my worldview they are equals off the field. Like I said it's not quantifiable it's all about personal perception.

AND KC was supposed to beat GB???????

Ok, let's compare the amount of charity work Tom had done at 24 with what Tim has done. Considering Tim spent his signing bonus on famine charities within 24 hours and has been working working with orphans since he was pretty much out of the womb I'm not sure you even want to go there.

Most well paid sports celebrities have some sort of charitable organization they either founded or support, any accountant will tell ya it's a great tax write off 'n any PR rep will tell ya it's good press. All the talk about these charities the players are associated with prove they've got smart folks advisin' them.

I miss the days when players would score a TD and flip the ball to the ref like it was something that happened all the time. The showboating for ESPN is something I could live without no matter who is doing it.
