I suppose concentrating on Maleficent is sort of like Wicked? Maybe it would work.

Anything Burton does is golden. Would love to see what he does with that story.

IF and I mean ONLY IF they followed Maleficent, it might be a good idea. Doing anything else with the rest of the story line, IMHO, would not be a good idea. Burton has a way (a good way) of twisting things to make them odd, and I just can't see him doing that with the whole story, it would be upsetting I think lol. But Maleficent could be twisted without it being weird. So yeah. I'd go for it.

I am warming to the idea of the story from Maleficent's side.
She wanted to be invited to the christening, but wasn't. Of course she was upset!
But, going back in years, what made her so evil? Was she born that way, or did something awful happen to her when she was young?

She was one of the fairies. If I had to listen to those three "good" fairies all day long, I'd be irritable too.

I know that he is extremely popular, but for some reason I've never been a fan of his style. I wish I was, because I think he is very talented. I just find it "weird".

I like a lot of his movies, however I think Willie Wonka was horrible. Too creepy for me. I love Depp also but his version of WW was ....creepy.

I agree. I have never been a big fan of his but WW put me over the edge.
