What a great day you had at MGM. We were there for opening weekend and as we we walked out of bag check one of the CMs handed us a Star Wars Weekend schedule. She told us to be sure to go sign our kids up for the parade at the table near Indiana Jones.

The boys were super excited and I had DH and DS6 stand at the rope drop and book it to the table. We stood in line for about 2 minutes and another CM announced that this was not the table for the parade. They were randomly selecting kids for the parade this year.

I was devestated. I kept telling this new CM that the CM at the gate told us we could sign up. He just shrugged. I saw another CM in a red shirt walking around checking on other CMs. I thought he might be a manager or something. He just told me the same thing. Kids for the parade are picked at random. It ended up putting me in a foul mood all day. I wish it hadn't put me in such a bad mood. I guess it was my day for a meltdown.

Your DH and DS handled it a lot better than I did. At least my boys still had a great time. It didn't seem to bother them at all. They met all sorts of Star Wars Characters.

So, after this is over we decide to take advantage of our Dream Fastpasses, I was so upset Rockin’ Roller Coaster was shut down but we headed to TOT (we used Dream FP’s so we could save our TOT FP’s to use on our next MGM day)

So I have a quick question for you...If you get a FP, but don't end up using it can you use it another day? For example, if you had FPs for 6/15 to use between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m., could they be used another day between those times? When do FPs expire?

I am confused by your comment, but of course excited for you since you didn't need your original FP! Please explain when you get a moment!

Back from camping, I'm exhausted. We're all cleaned off and on our way out the door to a 50th wedding anniversary celebration, be back late tonight and tomorrow I'll start working on the TR.
Our air mattress colapsed on the first night so that stunk but other than that had a fantastic weekend camping, PERFECT weather, can't complain. Came home to my email account being hacked into though, someone deleted everything, changed my password and had sent chain emails out of my account and put their address as the return address, very scary and concerning, getting that cleared up later too. Well, gotta run, will answer everyones questions later, thanks for posting!

Glad to hear your camping trip went well. We haven't been camping in YEARS We use to be camping every weekend sorta people...Other than having kids I'm not sure what happened....but we haven't been for a long long time. Our oldest DD is wanting to have a 'camping birthday' party so it looks like we'll be going at least one time this summer....with a hand full of teenage girls in tow We may be asking for trouble with that Anywho....glad to hear you had a good time and made it back safely.

Can't wait to check back in and read more TR.

We had that problem a few times when we went camping in our tent. We have a pop up now so no more air mattress problems....lol

We try and go to the lake once a month. Where do you guys go camping?

When my husband and I where in Disney in June I saw people walking with the Dream fast passes but had no idea what they where. How awesome is that to get fast passes for all the rides! We only went to Epcot while we where there for our adult only long weekend and only got to do soaring and had to wait on line for two hours because all the fast passes where gone. That was a ride I really wanted to do and had never been able to and it was air conditioned and since we had no kids with us we really didn't mind waiting. That's great that Lauren went on Tower of Terror! I am hoping our next trip with the kids (Nov. 2008) they will want to go on all those rides.

I can't wait to hear more!

That is why I wanted to explain them here, I had no idea what they were or how they worked either, very cool!!!

I am so glad to hear Tim asked for the Dream Fast Passes for you and Lauren. While we were in Disney my DH took my 2 older boys to MGM, we had all been there already, while I took the 2 year old to MK. When they got off of Star Tours, they were awarded Dream Fast Passes. My DH did NOT get one for me. I was happy for them and it didn't really matter that he didn't get me one as I wasn't doing MGM with them at all. Although I said if he HAD gotten me one I would have left MK and went to MGM but oh well. They still make a great souvenier.

I am glad he asked too! That is a bummer you didn't score one but at least you were in a different park enjoying your day.

POFQ is so pretty... I think its my favorite moderate resort! Love the funny "street" names.... "Rue da Baga", "Rue da Blues", etc. !!

I had a feeling he was kidding when he wouldn't even let you look at his dream fast pass. Of couse, I would have reacted the same way you did too--that's why it's so funny.


I love all your pictures! One of these days, I will have some kids so I can take them to Disney. Disney is fun without kids, but I bet it is more magical with kids.

HOW EXCITING!!

We got DFP at Epcot as dh and the 2 little ones were getting off of Living with the Land (the older 2 and I were getting off of Soarin'). It was very exciting and everyone just kept asking how we got them, etc... I felt like a celebrity! lol.

Anyway, congrats on your DFP! Your vacation just keeps getting better and better by the day! Can't wait to hear about dinner and DTD!

Wanted to add that I'm so jealous that your kiddos will go on T-O-T. my 2 older boys chickened out at the last minute. I know if they rode it they'd love it. I've gotta figure out a way to get them on it next year!

Glad you got them too and your family was together when it happened, my one regret is not seeing them, LUCKY Tim - his luck continues by the way, hint hint hint

Woohoo, congrats on the fast passes!! We didn't win those, but a nice lady gave us her leftover strip of FP's at MK one day. (They were some sort of special ones, I don't know why she got them.) But it was SO nice having those, they really impact the day.

I love your POFQ pictures. We stayed there 3 times before we became DVC members. We still love it and miss staying there!!

That is cool that lady gave them to you! Have more POFQ pics to come, SOOOO pretty!

the great movie ride must be a popular spot for the dream team. we were there about a week before you but we got the ears -- definitely would have traded you for the fast passes but we felt pretty special at the time.

I agree about Great Movie Ride, I have MORE about that ride coming up. For those of you planning atrip soon I suggest you hit GMR between 9:30-10:30, seems to be a popular spot!!!

What a DREAM of a first day!! That is so cool that you got the Dream Fastpasses! We were there for 10 days in November and never once got a dream! It was just the beginning of the year though. We aren't going back until December 2007 so not sure if they will be granting Dreams anymore.

Can't wait to tell my dh when he gets home that Tim and Lesley posted again and won a dream!!

Have a great camping trip. We will miss the reports but will be hear waiting on Monday!

Loved your installments! Such cute pictures too. I have to say Tim is lucky too, what a Father's day gift!! Awesome on getting the Dream FP's. I read the Dining reports and I know I won't be eating at ABC Commissary as everyone says it is just grose . Way to go Lauren on going on TOT, my DD7 doesn't even go on it. Is she exactly 40 inches? Hoping my DS makes it for some of the rides but he is 38.5 inches now and we have 3 months to go. How are the beds at POFQ? They look kind of small. We may end up switching to there as DH's job has been quite slow lately and saving might become priority. I hope I won't miss deluxe though. We don't join DVC for the same reason as you, we use our tax return for our trip usually.

Thanks, yes, Tim is lucky too Of course I have to say that. I still can't believe Lauren rode TOT either, she LOVES telling anyone who will listen that she did too. Yes, she is RIGHT at the 40 inch mark right now. The beds at POFQ are smaller than we are used to at WL and at home for that matter, after the first few nights I slept with Lauren and tim with Luke and that worked out well. They are VERY comfy though! You really will not be disappointed with POFQ we just can't say enough great things about it!

Next July for our anniversary, trying to decide who all will be going, just Tim and I, family trip, or bring along my mother n' law so she can watch kids on our anniversary night and experience WDW for the first time, she would just love it, we're trying to decide currently. Stay tuned.

sounds like tim and luke's experience on the great movie ride was a lot better than ours......we got stuck and got to listen to the casablanca scene over......and over.........and over.........and over..........i don't ever want to see that movie again!!!

Congrats on the dream fast pass my db had gotten one when they were in MK and did'nt even know disney was doing this, they had gotten them as they were entering throught the turnstiles. I'm looking forward to hearing about your dinner at the Concourse steakhouse we loved this restaurant on our last trip it was our best meal and booked it again for our first night in aug. I hope it is still good I'm disappointed it's closing. Linda

We were heading to lunch at Pizza Planet, walking by the Commissary on our way, when I saw you walking with only Lauren in the stroller. It took me a minute to realize who you were (just had that, "I know that person for some reason" feeling!), and by then, you guys had disappeared into the crowds!

Thanks, glad you are enjoying it. The diecasts were EVERYWHERE in every park on carts, in stores, etc. We just asked the CM's stocking the shelves for specific cars we were after and were amazed how they would appear with boxes of the VERY hard to find ones. Only one we don't have of the released ones is the YETI right now, Luke REALLY wants a Yeti.

So glad I wasn't the only one who had heard this, it truly was disappointing, I was so glad Luke didn't take it hard at all, guess the Dream Team was there for a reason that day, that took his mind off of it REAL QUICK!!!

O.K., so obviously they don't WANT you to use them on other days, but (hush hush now) we did it the entire trip, no big deal, as long as it was after the time listed they paid no attention to the date, but you didn't hear that from me!

Do you mind me asking where you go camping around here? Our family has camped a couple of times (went to Carter Caves in Kentucky and Hocking Hills) and we are looking for suggestions on other places to go. Oh, and do you tent or camper camp?
