Tim and Lesley Year of Million Compromises/TONS pics- 8/5 help me pg. 164!!!

Hi Lesley! I can't find the star wars parade times, and was reading where you talking about the parade at 11:15, can you tell me where i can find a list of times? Also just wanted to tell you that we switched our ressie to POFQ from the CSR! We love POFQ! I had to give up my AAA discount which was $200 and had to pay extra for a water view, but it is worth it!
I believe the Star Wars parade is at 11:15 every day of Star Wars Days, I saw it on the TGM site actually. Awesome about POFQ must be awesome if you are paying more for it, thanks for that, makes me feel good about our choice :thumbsup2

Just to update you, I'm still trying daily (yeah, the disney dining number LOVES me ;) ) to get a later Mama Melrose Fantasmic time for our trip but it actually keeps getting worse, now it is 3:20 is the latest, COME ON PEOPLE!!! I also tried for Planet Hollywood today and the only time they had was 10:45 p.m. BUMMER. We were thinking of going there instead of Wolfgang Puck's since we love it so much. Now that I couldn't get us in there though Tim is dreaming of ESPN club, he LOVES that place. we ate there on our honeymoon- I don't think they take ADR's though which is a huge bummer.
I'll keep you posted . . . .
Hope everyone as a GREAT Thursday. hectic day for me at work tomorrow. don't know if I mentioned this but I am a special education teacher for severely handicapped 2-3rd grade students. FOUR of my para professionals are out absent tomorrow with NO subs so it will be a CRAZY CRAZY day, think of me tomorrow :goodvibes
Lesley

so i thought i'd post a reminder to myself of where i am in your pre-TR.....page 7. yeah, pathetically behind! but i will catch up soon...promise!

by the way, tim, LOVE your version of "jack and diane"! great stuff! :thumbsup2

unless your plans have changed since page 7, you guys will be in MK and epcot on my 31st birthday! what a dream come true! i can live vicariously through you on my birthday.....:rotfl: i'm sure something has changed since then though considering there's like 30-something more pages to read! hopefully i'll get to it soon!

Yeah! Tax season is over. I am an accountant and have been buried in paperwork for the last month and haven't been able to keep up with everything.

I sure hope you get your Fantasmic package. When I made my dining ressie's a few months ago for our upcoming trip they told me they had nothing available at all during our trip. I am so disappointed because we've never even seen the show at all. I was hoping to impress our fellow vacationers! Oh well, maybe I can start calling them back now that tax season is over. :cool1:

Wow those are some pretty awful times  No way would I want to eat dinner at 1045 pm, escpecially with your kiddos! The 3:20 pm could possibley be workable if you ate a later breakfast and then ate your dinner at 320 then a hearty snack while waiting for fantasmic...Turkey leg maybe?? But it is prime break time for a day at the park in the heat of June also :confused3 Anyway I will have my fingers crossed that you get something better.
I knew you were a teacher but I didn't realize it was for handicapped students, thats very special :goodvibes I hope your day goes smoother than you think it will with your help gone! :goodvibes

Well, glad you are still plugging away. I'm celebrating my 31st b-day while we are down there too, We'll be at Epcot for my b-day (the 15th). My latest update is the page listed on pg 42 so you can check it out and let me know. I'll tell Tim about the Jack and Diane, he'll be happy, that got buried a while ago.:goodvibes

Glad tax season is over for you. Right now I have Mama's without the package at a decent dinner time, I was just hoping to add the package. Last year Luke and I stayed and did Fantasmic without the package, we went and got in about an hour before the show started and got an awesome spot in the Mickey section and the time flew by waiting, so we can always do that again. Fantasmic is one of my absolute favorite things at Disney so I just won't miss it :woohoo:

Oh yeah, I would never make an ADR for a late time like that. I'll just keep calling, I got lucky last year, I kept calling and calling and calling and FINALLY got a Chef Mickey's that someone had cancelled, maybe I'll get lucky again this year. Thanks for wishing me luck today, I'll let you know how it goes. Also, got your PM and I'll work on it and get back to you.

Great pre-trip report! Thanks for sharing your family memories --
I am excited for you and your family.

subscribing! I'll be back in a bit to start reading! I can't wait!!

I feel your pain on the Mama Melrose FDP. I just changed our MGM day and all I could get was a 4:10. I took it, but it's a bit early for us. I had a 5:20 on our previous day and that was great. I know it's only an hour, but my oldest son has hunger issues. When he's hungry no one else is happy so I try to space our meals just right. Oh well, he'll get some popcorn before Fantasmic!

I keep waiting for TGM to update for the best park days for when we go in Aug. since they've added Pirate and Princess Party and Little Ones Extra Magic Hours. I don't think he'll change much if anything. Love that you changed your itinerary again!

My Goodness...I am glad all my ADRs are done with. I have changed mine a few times but I just have to get my mind in the right frame and know that I've chosen the right days, right times, etc.... I've driving Rob (DH) crazy just asking him about certain ADRs. :upsidedow

Hi Lesley, sorry for all the questions i keep throwing at you, I was reading earlier somewhere that TGM says not to do table service breakfast, why is this so? We are on the DDP and have 2 breakfast ressies, one at Chef Mickeys and the other at Ackerhurs(Spelling?) princess storybook dining. We really enjoy Disney breakfast, what are you thoughts on this? Thanks, Paige:goodvibes

Lesley, I sending you good thoughts:goodvibes to get through tomorrow.:grouphug: I have 2 autistic nephews so I know how challenging it can be to work with special needs children! It takes special people to do what you do. You students are lucky to have you!:flower3:

I know, I keep calling daily to see if something opens up, I had good luck last year, we'll see I guess. Oh yes, always changing the itinerary:rotfl:

We do a breakfast every year, this year Donald's Breakfastasaurus because we love getting into the park early. I think what TGM means is if you are on the DDP you might as well get the most bang for your buck and since dinner is more money to go to dinner with your credits instead. Personally we still go once every year and LOVE it.

Lesley...I am sending some ADR pixie dust your way!:wizard: :rotfl:

I got Princess Storybook Breakfast two days before we left in January. I had been calling and calling and they had been completely booked. All of a sudden right before we left they had a lot of times available.:confused3

Don't give up!

Right before our trip I had Disney Dinning as one of my Fave Five on my cell phone. :lmao:
And I was still unable to change my Chef Mickey Reservation to Dinner. Next time we make plans to go to Disney it will be the FIRST thing I do!!!

That is so funny! Yeah, Chef Mickey's is next to impossible to change within a month or two in, I learned that the hard way last year.
Lesley

Well, I'm not going to re-post my entire itinerary but I did make one more addition today. I figured while I had Disney dining on the phone I might as well right :confused3 :rotfl:
The final day we are at Magic Kingdom I made a ressie for the Plaza, I have wanted to try it since the yummy pictures on the food pic thread (food porn ;) thread is what we call it:rotfl: ) but didn't want to use dining credits for it since it is rather inexpensive. I decided to add it and got an 11:50 lunch time for that final MK day, should be a nice lunch to sit down and relax for, then catch the 3:00 parade before getting on the bus back to POFQ to catch Magical Express to the airport:guilty:
