At the end of the month it goes over the amount of bandwidth that tiki man (Steve) has purchased. It should be up again soon after the first of the month, if not before.

Sometimes people donate money to help keep the site going longer. (I have done so in the past as well).

It's a wonderful resource and I wish that it was not forbidden to be shared here, that's really too bad for new DIS-ers. It is easily found with a google though.

I too am disappointed that the Tikiman site has been censored from the DIS.

I was on it a couple of days ago but some pages wouldn't work. Maybe his links are censored because he appears to sell travel on there. I don't know if they are just affiliate links, ads or his own company.

Whether it is fair or not isn't really the issue. Many of you may not remember this, but this site used to be only two message boards. They obviously need a lot of bandwidth on here and the boards would be expensive to run without contributions from the sponsors.

So, whilst the site you mentioned does have some valuable information, and most sites do carry some type of advertising just to pay for their costs, you have to realise that other companies would not sponsor these boards if all the traffic was sent to other travel companies.
