Does anyone know about the Tiki Liki resort? we are staying in my in-law's timeshare next august. the pool area looks cool. thanks for any info.

I was there a couple of years back, at it's short-lived transition to the Ron Jon's Resort, and it seemed a lovely resort, as long as you don't get caught up in the timeshare sell. The water feature is just great, especially for the kids, and the newer apartments were wonderfull spacious and well furnished. It is easy to get to along the 192, and barely 15 minutes from Disney (via Sherberth Road). I can't imagine it has changed much since then, and I haven't heard any negative feedback at all.

Sorry SimonV. I agree with you on all your resteraunt choices but not on the Liki Tiki. Stayed there this summer and it was in my opinion disgusting. I did not even include it on my list of places stayed. It was for 4 days. Check the search function and look at the reviews by Jcanary. She and I both agree we would not go back even if it were free.

Ask your in law what it is like. Maybe by then the rooms they made us stay in will be demolished that is what they were supposedly going to do with them. There are two new buildings and on the tour we took they looked very nice. All I can say is do not trust the web site when it comes to pools. If you are staying free, if you do not have any expectations, or if you have never stayed in one of the timeshares like Vistana Villiages or Wydham Palms or any of the Disney Time Shares then you will have nothing to compare it to and you will be okay. Call or write to them in advance and tell them your concerns and that you would like to have them addressed. Since you are going under an owners contract they will not bug you to take the timeshare and maybe they will listen to you. I know it has not gotten good reviews on other web sites from even the owners. Good luck, if you have not been to Orlando all that much you will have so much to do the room will be of little consequence if you are out all the time.

Hi, I'll be staying there next week, I'll do a report when I get back. Personally from other people that I've talked to, it doesn't sound "as" bad as others reported, but i guess I'll just have to wait and see on that! Wish me luck!

Good luck Brenda ! May the:earsboy: be with you and your family! Have a great trip! Maybe things have gotten better .We can only hope so! Cant wait to read your trip report!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

well, we are dvc owners who have stayed at vistana. We are used to nice places. We are staying for free b/c my inlaws traded in their timeshare in A.C. Oh well, that will be 1 week of our 3 week stay...hopefully we will be fine. If not, I guess we will have to make the best of it. I look forward to hearing the trip report as well. thanks for any & all info guys!
