I think it is disgusting what that family is doing! The son was certainly doing something to Tigger. The father is looking for a quick buck - I hope he ends up in jail!! GO TIGGER GO!!!!!:thumbsup2

y fell down the stairs in a one of the homes he was stealing from and broke his arm and leg. He sued the home builders and won.

What is the heck is wrong with people?
Answer #1: They were upset that they were summoned to jury duty when they wanted to be at Walt Disney World on vacation.

Answer #2: They find it easier to type bigger numbers into the computer when it is time to send out the premium bills rather than instruct their subordinates (attorneys) to fight the case tooth and claw.

The Kid is up to no good. I think Tigger should counter sue. The kid's pranks has put this poor cm's job on the line. Ad the parents should be ashamed!!!! If I had done something like that as a child my mother would have made me apologize to both the cm and the cm's manager!

I agree with you!!!! I definitely think Tigger should sue in civil court and file an assault case immediately!! :thumbsup2 :tigger: :tigger: :tigger: :tigger: :tigger:

Additional Victims of Tigger Mauling Come Forth

What was once thought to be an isolated incident has now turned out to be more prevalent than anyone had imagined. Earlier this month, a little boy was clawed in the head by a wild Tigger. Disney admits that while these dangerous creatures are allowed to roam the parks without a leash, there have been very few incidents in the past. "They generally just bounce up and down and do not hurt anyone. In fact, unlike most felines, when surprised, Tiggers cower in fear rather than lash out." said Tigger's trainer Mr. Milne. They have since replaced Tiggers in the park with a much more docile animal named Stich. But now, the worldwide media attention has lead to other victims of Tigger maulings to come forth. We spoke to two such victims, who on advise of their attorney, have chosen to remain anonymous.

"That Tigger has pounced on me countless times. He always ruins my vegetable garden as well. It's about time someone puts him in his place. My poor tail can't take another pouncing. Good riddance I say."

"Well, I do rather recall Tigger pouncing on me once or twice. Luckily for me, I'm full of fluff and stuff and suffered no contusions. But my attorney says that he can obtain a couple smakerals of honey for me. Oh bother, maybe I should have talked to Christopher Robin first."

But one person did come forth in support of Tigger. "I think Tigger is just great. He taught me how to bounce really high. I mean, he IS made of rubber and springs. He and I are both made to bounce. Sometimes he just can't help himself. Mom thinks he is really a nice and all, but maybe needs a little Ritalin."

Disney is pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation before deciding if Tigger will be allowed back among the public. But officials at the Disney company that we spoke to concede he will probably have to be transferred to the plains of Animal Kingdom where he can not harm any more innocent victims.

Tigger was in the MK while I was there last week.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if, since the CM who was Tigger during the incident was suspended they would have had Tigger 'take a break' for a while too. I know different CM's are different characters, but it seems with the news coverage they might have pulled Tigger for a bit.

I thought of doing this when we go: for every Tigger I see going up and quitely saying to either Tigger or the handler "If you are/he is the Tigger who was suspended, I am glad your/he's back!"

Just a little way to show support for the CM!

Now I need to clean the coffee, I spit out, off my desk....

you know, i just watched that video on you tube YET AGAIN and the kid had to be doing something behind tigger's back because when tigger turned to react, the kid's hand/arm was still stuck behind tigger, causing him to kind of fall forward. so maybe his hand was up inside the back of the mask or down in the costume????

I just watched the video again, in slow motion. I had not noticed before, but Tigger first reaches for his own head before hitting the kid. Then It also looks like he was reaching for the kids left arm when Tiggers hand came across the kids face.

i agree it was not tiggers fault and the kid seems to be pulling at tiggers back. tigger reacted as if to stay upright. however, i feel disney made a grave error in suspending the cm thus in a way admitting fault. thereby opening up the avenue for a lawsuit. if this kid wins any lawsuit it's a travesty. but unfortunately many corporations, etc rather settle outside then get bad publicity. i'm sure they will get something.

They had no choice but to suspend him until this got resolved.

There is always the media side and the truth.....
I see everyone talking about this teen and the parents and so forth but in my eyes "Tigger" played as ***** who is in his 30s being in the job he is in- and being around children his actions are not justified.regardless IF the teen did something or not no adult should whack hit or react in such a manner!!
I would be appauled if I were a parent with a little one in line that witnessed such a thing... there is more to this story than we are being told.

It looks to ME like tigger was trying to pull away from the kid and lost his balance. I don't think he "hit" the kid on purpose. Explain to me how it is this tiggers fault if some little punk is pulling on the back of his costume and then, when he tries to pull away or remove the kids arm, he accidentally "whacks" the kid on the face (with his plush hand).

Give me a break. What is tigger supposed to do, let the kid take his head off?? If I were a parent in line to see tigger, and tigger got "outed" I would be extremely upset! Thats like telling a kid there is no santa -- maybe not quite as traumatic, but the same kind of thing. It would take all of the magic out of it if kids saw half dressed tiggers running around.

GO TIGGER!!

I agree with the last two posters......and that is really not very cool naming that poor CM................

Barron -- I agree that tigger should NOT punch a child, or anyone for that matter. But it does not look like tigger punched him at all. Like I said before, It looks like he was trying to remove the childs arm from doing whatEVER it was that he was doing behind his back, and the kid was holding on to his costume...so he lost he balance and sort of fell over, accidentally hitting him in the face. He really would have no control over his balance if that is what happened.

If you watch the end of the video, the kid also hits tigger. How convenient that only 1 second of it is left on the tape that the newes shows! You can clearly see that he was holding on to the costume because as tigger moves, so does the boy. So I am guessing that he ALSO lost his balance and hit tigger by accident also.

I think this got blown WAY out of porportion by a family looking for a quick buck off of disney. If that would have happened to me, I wouldn't have even thought about it again.

BUT -- if tigger had hit the kid on purpose, then, yes, tigger would have been wrong.

There was no punch. Tigger swung around off balance, and barely contacted the boy's cheek. Whether he was off-balance because of something the boy did, or because they both simply lost their balance isn't 100% clear, but from the reactions of both it sure looks like the boy was doing something he wasn't supposed to.

Its not even clear if Tigger even intended to strike the boy. Yet you call that disgusting.

The boy's response was to laugh. That is until daddy got back to the room and watched the video and realized he might be able to cash in.

Your take is actually closer to the media's initial take, or at least how the media headlines read.

Next time I will just ignore this page as I thought this was to state your opinion MAYBE NOT..
You stated your opinion strongly, using words like disgusting and appalled, and you declared Tigger guilty despite video evidence that at least shows it was very possible the whole thing was completely accidental.

What kind of responses did you expect?

It's time to bring this lively discussion to a close.
