TigerCheer2009's Lose 30 and Not Gain It Back Plan! (Add comments please!! Welcome!)

Hello hello hello!

Dinner was a Subway sub (5) and 1 bowl light chips. I kept my title of 9 days cheat free by not eating any snacks after I got home from a tough choir practice. Tomorrow, Sunday and Monday are our first shows.

B: 3 pancakes (2 each, 6), 2 scrambled eggs with ham (2), 12 ounces water
L: ???...not hungry yet

Exercise: Not yet...getting ready for the party still :)!

Water: Gonna have some more later.

Hello Vee! Those are crunchy, be warned. They are yum city though! Thanks and you too :)!

Hi WISHbro. They messed up the smilies to keep us on our toes. Of course! Thanks!! Please tell Logan we are having a kitty party tonight...:cat: He is invited (we are celebrating the kitties birthday!)

Must get ready for the party later tonight...and choir/play. Uggh. I started cueing people on the stage and not doing so hot...

I woke up in a yucky mood this morning...but it's slowly going away!

Have a great day; I'll be back!

THEY MESSED UP THE SMILIES?!?!?!

Welcome back TCJen!!! All your rides and fun have inspired me to ask DH if he wants to take DS to Valleyfair this weekend...it's not WDW but DS loves the rides.

And eating on plan is easy because their food actually sucks.

When is Band Camp? What is Band Camp?

J2N

Unfortunetly they did. :( Thanks!

What is Valleyfair? Take me with you!!! Cedar Point food is actually very good, J2N!

Band Camp is when we re-learn how to march for the newbies/learn about the new changes (like for our new beginning sequence, we have to RUN!!!)and our new marching band shows...like last year was cartoons for the 1st, movies for the 2nd, and Senior Choice for the third (each show is ran 3x).

It's next week all week 9am-4pm (prime WISH/DISing hours...man!). I may check in from 12:00-1:00 (hour lunch break...probably eat and shower only as it is always hot and sweaty).

Bye for now! Have an awesome weekend, J2N!

Hi Jen,

Ooh! Kitty party sounds cool! I send Logan along but he is in the South of France for the week visiting an old friend. He travels Europe a lot during the summer. ;)

Remind me to tell you about... "this one time, at band camp!" hehe! :goodvibes

Mike

tell me tell me TELL ME!!!

Please give Logan his goody bag (it has catnip toys, treats, a new collar, and also some miracle brownies) and we can reschedule the party :)

Hahaha! Sorry jen, no story to tell, I was just quoting Alyson Hannigan in "American Pie". :sunny: Have you seen it? Not one of the movies I usually enjoy, but being a big Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan I paid attention to Alyson's role (she was Willow.)

Have a good night!
Mike :sunny:

Aww...man...I :love: stories! Never seen it...Buffy is a good show thru the 1 or 2 episodes I followed.

You too.

Lunch will be: chicken sandwich w/ tomatoes and miracle whip (5), 20 cherries (1)

/
Dinner: 4 "squares" of pizza, 1 McyD's fruit and walnut salad (11). 3 points over.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The party was fun (background: the moving friend [Jess] came over and my other friend came over and we celebrated good memories). Kind of depressing though. She is taking it very well...I'm listening to the CD of the songs she loves. She will come back summers/weekends/memorable occasions. Divorce scares me and frustrates me, sometimes. Is it normal to feel like that?
Well I weighed myself this morning...and through the party...and my excursion...and little exercise/waterdrinking...
I only gained 2. Not too bad, could've been much worse!! The number said "180" which in truth is 177...I need to actually exercise and drink more water... ::yes:: can do, will do, gonna do.
Breakfast: 2 slices multigrain toast (4), 1 teaspoon of butter (1), 1/2 apple (.5), 1 Light N Fit Cherry Vanilla Yogurt (2)=7.5
I am going to think like a 150 person today!!!
I forgot to note that I got 6 minutes of "Xtreme Laundry" done (everytime you fold something you do 10 exercises if it goes downstairs, 20 if it goes upstairs) and some yoga done Thursday.
Quote of Today:
"If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems and find you are ready for greater challenges."-Pat Riley
You are doing good - and I like that way of doing laundry!!!!!!
Keep on :banana: :banana:
Chris
Hello Chris!!! Sorry I haven't made it to your journal lately.
That way of doing laundry is my absolute favorite!!!
Lunch: 1 cereal bowl of sausage chunkers and tomato sauce (8)=15
That's the only way I was not like a 150er today...pretty good. Lots "a" water drank...42 exercise minutes (34 minutes of yoga, 2nd segment of 5day abs=8 minutes with added pushups). 2 fps
And I want more spaghetti sauce w. sausage. I can wait...actually dinner will be at 4:30 tonight!! (1 cup=8)
I went out today and went on a walk (10 minutes both ways...5 one, 5 the other/total time=52...divided by 15=roughly 4) to the drugstore and got some Pick Me Ups so when I feel like crying I don't turn to eating...they make me happy without food. (A Pick Me Up is a nonedible item that you wrap in gift paper and open, like a surprise present, when you feel bad.)
Happy day! The show (Four Tickets to Christmas) starts at 7:00 Ohio time, but we have a sound check at 5 as the microphones are something possessed and outta my control!
Adieu!
Hi Jen!
I hope the show goes well tonight.
I love your "Pick me up" and "Xtreme Laundry" ideas! Very cool! I might use the "pick me up" idea with my student staff this year. Set up a grab bag of wrapped toys from the dollar store, let them pick one if they had a bad week or did something special!
I hope you have a great night! Back to work for me now!
Mike :goodvibes
Awesome, Mike! If you can use the Pick Me Ups, then by all means go ahead! I do it and it makes me cheerier.
Thanks! Have an awesome night, Mike.
You know, all...it's standing room only, you're more than welcome to be there in spirit!
Wow, Jen you are the workout queen!!! :flower: You're doing great this month! Congrats! Also, I loved your Pat Riley quote from earlier today. We lived in Los Angeles when he was coaching the Lakers. He's an awesome coach.
Jane E-long time no hear from!!! Glad you're back though :) I just have a LOT of spare time...and that keeps me from munchin'. Pat Riley's quote jumped out at me and said..."you can do this, Miss Jen! Just keep on keepin' on...you'll be ready soon, and remember, weight loss is NOT a race." (I also have band camp starting tomorrow...I'm really excited, but I'll tell ya what I'll do during lunch break: shower, then eat!!!)
Thanks for popping in!
The play was...funny. We forgot lines, we made people laugh, we did it and there were no casulties besides the scripted ones!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh buddy. Yesterday was 3/4 being like a person in the 150's and 1/4 like being a person in the 180's. I:
:sunny: ) did really well at breakfast and lunch
:sunny: ) drank lots of water
:sunny: ) exercised like a thing possessed.
:sunny: ) 1 kind-of snack that I thought would be dinner (more in a few)

I did not act like a 150's person when I:
:upsidedow ) ate dinner later that night (we had Christmas dinner at the church as the theme was Christmas in July...tonight it's Christmas cookies and juice)
:upsidedow ) forgot to measure my portions at dinner-late

PreDinner was:
1/2 cup spaghetti sauce with sausage (4)=19 points used so far

PreShow/DuringShow was:
1 Wintogreen mint, 1 bottle of water

PostDinner was:
All but a little bit of one baked steak patty (2), if you divide your plate in fourths, I got a 1/4 splop of potatoes and gravy and two tablespoons corn. No idea of nutritional value from there
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm setting up a plan for the week to try this new idea out. It's called
"150's".
I'm going to do like a 150 person would do. I'm going to make healthy choices...which reminds me, I'm starting tomorrow and planning my meals for that today..., staying under points unless I super can't, band camp: gonna work hard and sweat like crazy for my exercise, drink about a gazillion bottles of water, treat me like I deserve to be treating myself (with respect, dignity and kindness...I can treat myself pretty harshly), moderation/portion sizes, and remember that each today is BRAND-NEW!
Here goes nothing!
Today's breakfast:
1 cup Honey Nut Cheerios (4), 2 slices multigrain toast with 2 teaspons butter (4) <---gonna add protein tomorrow!
Tomorrow's breakfast will be:
1 slice of ham diced and cooked in 1 scrambled egg (1.5), 2 slices multigrain toast with 2 teaspoons butter (4), and either orange juice or an apple.
Rest day today, as band camp will beat my bum tomorrow!
An excellent day is on the horizon!! Let's go!
Quote for the Day: "Most people achieved their greatest success one step beyond what looked like their greatest failure"-Brian Tracy
Hi Jen!!
Glad to hear the show went well!!!
I like your being a "150s person" idea. I think it sounds like a great motivational tool that will keep you on track!
Have a great Sunday!
Mike :goodvibes
Thanks Mike!!!
Lunch was 1 pack ramen noodles (8)...attended Bad News Bears (lots of cussing...no snacks). 3 bottles water done. Snack=1 peach (1)
There is going to be a Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Toledo in September and I so want to do it! My mother had breast cancer earlier this year (2004)...9 month survivor today. I'm checkin' it out. It'd be so awesome if I was able to do this. ::yes:: I wonder if it will be like Relay for Life...
You too!
You can do the Race for the Cure. It's not like Relay for Life. They generally start early in the morning and you walk or run (and some places have motorcycles that ride as well) like 6K or 7K or 5K or something like that (I can't remember). Then you're done. My mom was a HUGE supporter of Race for the Cure after she was diagnosed with breast cancer and walked in 8 races - the first one being the year she was diagnosed and had started chemo. She always said it was a lot of fun. My mom passed away almost 8 years ago from breast cancer and so I support anything I can for Susan B. Komen Foundation - it's a great foundation!!!!! Good luck and let me know if you decide to do it - send me a PM.
Glad your performance went well - sometimes it's not about making sure all the lines are right, sometimes it's about making people laugh and having fun!!!!!
Good luck at band camp this week.
Keep on :banana: :banana:
Chris
Hugs to you...and thanks! I'll have to talk it over with my mom. My mom had DCIS...lumpectomy, radiation and 2 more surgeries after that. I'll do anything I can to raise money for a quality cancer-beating organization.
I will get back with you.
It's a good quality organization - one I would do more for it I could. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:
I've been on the DIS Breast Cancer Survivors thread as a support for most of them as I was a prime caregiver for my mom and there are several ladies that were and are DCIS and they are doing awesome. Hope your mom stays well and keeps on the good survivor track!!!! I'll add her to my list of people I say a daily prayer for!
