Tiffins or Nomad Lounge for lunch--cavalcades?

Trying to decide. What I am gathering it that you can see cavalcades from Nomad, but not Tiffins? Except Nomad outside dining is only for two diners? Is it ok to go outside and watch a cavalcade if you are eating inside at Nomads? My daughter is celiac and would have more choices at Tiffins, so I am trying to weigh the two options. Thanks!

I don’t know anything about the cavalcades, but Tiffins is amazing. I like Nomad too, but the menu is much smaller. Plus Nomad doesn’t take reservations, so unless you are okay with possibly waiting, I’d make a reservation at Tiffins. You could probably get up and watch a cavalcade, but there would really be no way to know when there are happening unless you were sitting near the windows in Nomad and/or with social distancing people may not want you standing near their tables. Personally I don’t think I’d plan around the cavalcades. If you are spending the day at AK you’ll likely get to see them anyway.

Tiffins is all inside and most of the dining rooms aren't near the water to be able to see when a cavalcade is going by. The Trek Gallery may have windows you can see them from, but I'm not certain.

At the Nomad, there are two-tops along the railing that you can see from easily, but you can go up to the railings for a minute to watch if you're seated further in where the tables seat more people. Just be mindful of distancing and not crowding anyone.

Tiffins would be my choice if I had family with me. For two people who want a couple of cocktails and a little bite to eat then I would go with Nomads.

This. I'd honestly be surprised if they even allowed it at this time. I know if I were at one of those tables I would not be thrilled to have people invade my area.

The river cavalcades happen multiple times during the day, so unless you are literally ONLY going to AK for a meal at Tiffins, you should be able to catch them at other times.
