Also STK's description does read like a lounge, using the phrases "high energy" and rooftop and the like, not your typical steakhouse description.

Yeah, I guess if you just ignore the "modern steakhouse" part, and leave out the "dining" part of "rooftop dining" and just simply mention "rooftop". Or, if you go to STK Orlando's website and ignore such self-descriptions as "full fine-dining experience" and "beautiful private dining room".

It's a themed fine-dining restaurant.

Just curious, does the bar at STK also have a separate entrance, which may cause Disney to list it as both, a Steakhouse and a Lounge?

I do not know, but most other places that are set up like you describe have two separate entries on Disney's website....one for the restaurant, and one for the lounge....see Shula's, Sanaa, etc...

And of course, none of us has actually seen the inside of STK yet, correct, so we can't really say for certain what it is until it opens.

Edit: well I guess it did open a few days ago, maybe someone will chime in with a review.

2nd edit: well I did go and read their website. I can see why they might be putting the lounge category on it, although it is also a restaurant, it's kind of a hybrid. The second floor has a DJ, and they are marketing it as a place to spend the night out, not just a meal. The private dining room is meant for renting out to small groups of 16 or less. It really sounds like it's a club that also will serve meals. From the description it doesn't sound like it will have a traditional restaurant atmosphere.

In the first line on this post from 5/20, it says that it is a signature. At the bottom, it says 2 TS credits.
