Tiffins for Lunch

How has Tiffins been for Lunch. I know the menu is the same for lunch and dinner. Not sure how i feel about some of the choices for a mid day meal. any recent thoughts would be appreciated.

I was at Tiffins a few weeks back for an early dinner with the Jungle Book package. I went into the place with some reservations and left the place absolutely blown away. The service was outstanding, the decor was every bit "signature" and was impressive and the food was excellent as well from presentation to taste. I was not expecting a "signature" restaurant in one of Disney's parks to be up to and better than many of the resort signatures, but it was. I'm a pretty adventurous eater, but I had my concerns over the menu. I ended up loving the grilled octopus as an appetizer. Tiffins has jumped into my top 5 restaurants and if it has a repeat performance my next visit it will leap even higher. Loved it.

Tiffin's was supposed to be a Signature, but Disney still list it as a regular Table Service. As far as I know, it requires only one Table Service credit in the DDP.

Disney has been inconsistent in how it describes Tiffins. It was announced as a Signature and it does now and always has, require 2 TS credits. It is the DDP brochure that is inconsistent with everywhere else.

I ate there for an early dinner and enjoyed it very much. Easily one of the best meals we have had on property. It will be a little heavier than many lunch offerings but I don't think anything would be necessarily bad for lunch.

Our AK day had early EMH (opened at 8:00am), and we wanted to enjoy all the night time activities through closing. We decided we would go back to our hotel for a break after lunch. That was the main reason why we were OK with doing a lunch at Tiffins (JB dining package), because it did seem like it would have been a "heavy" midday meal. Our party of 8 (2 families of 4) stayed at the AoA suites, and several of us had "doggie bags" for our leftovers, which we took back to our rooms, left in the fridge, and enjoyed later (yay for the microwave ovens!).

As for our experience at Tiffins, everyone loved it! Wonderful decor/atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious food! Unfortunately, the JB shows were canceled the night we were there. (A CM told us that our tickets would be honored for 5 days, but we only scheduled AK for one day, so we never did get to see it.) I have always known that Tiffins was a signature restaurant, which required 2 TS DDP credits, but we all felt it was well worth it with the show dining package, since it also included an appetizer!

I can tell you firsthand having dined there on June 7th that without a shadow of a doubt that Tiffins is a signature restaurant and will set you back 2 credits on the DDP. When I also visit the Disney site while it may say Unique/Themed Dining when you click on the dining credits link it clearly shows 2 credits on the DDP and 2 credits on the DDDP...
