We had scheduled Tiffany Towncars for our transportation to Port Orleans French Quarter from the Orlando Amtrak station. This was our first time using both Amtrak and Tiffany. When our train arrived I couldnt remember where we were supposed to meet our driver so we just went to the front of the station. I looked around for car with their name on it to no avail. I did see a nice looking town car on the road in front and wondered if that was it but no one was around it.
My daughter and I decided we would walk further down the walkway in front of the station in case we were in the wrong place. As we turned there was our driver holding a sign with our name on it. He had gone to the baggage area to meet us. We didnt check any bags so didnt think to meet him there. So he took our bags over to the nice looking car I noticed prior.
He was very polite and talked to us about our trip down and what wed be doing. I dont remember his name though. Unfortunately Im not always good with names.
When he dropped us off at the POFQ he informed us again of the price we were quoted prior and informed us we could pay cash or via credit card. I decided to use my credit card. He then advised that I could also pay for the tip on the credit card if I wanted. I decided to do this just in case I didnt remember to set aside money for the end of the trip.
At the end of our trip we were picked up from the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal and brought to the Orlando Amtrak. We received a phone call about ½ hr. before our scheduled pick up time to advise us that the driver was in route but may be about 5 minutes late. We waited outside the resort and the attendants asked if we needed help. I informed them we were waiting for Tiffany Towncar and they stated that they werent there yet but would let us know when they arrived. My daughter and I were out there early so I wasnt expecting them yet anyway. There were a lot of people checking out and arriving that day so it was pretty busy out front. And it was pouring from Tropical Storm Andrea.
After a few minutes the town car arrived and the driver was Renata. She kept apologizing for being late but I told her that the company called and informed us and that we had plenty of time before our train was leaving. We had a nice talk with her about riding trains. She informed us she took many while she lived in Brazil. She dropped us off right in front of the Amtrak station and had us stand under the cover while she brought our luggage to us so we wouldnt get wet.
Even though I had already paid for the tip at the beginning of the trip on my credit card I decided to give her a tip as well since we really liked her. She was so sweet. I hope we get her again when we go next.
I highly recommend Tiffany Towncars. They provided prompt and friendly service on both legs of the trip.
If anyone has any questions please let me know and I will answer as best as I can.
