You don't get that wet at all on the WDW version.
We need the measurements of that frame…then we can bring a cool giant portrait of ourself and overlay that one. It’s your kitchen..not Tiana’s.
The first and second drops are when you get soaked the most on the DL version, has been the case since the final SM refurb and the re-skin. The "trick" to minimize getting wet is to make sure the lightest riders to take one for the team and sit in the front because heavy riders at the front will cause the most water displacement during those first two drops and soak everyone's legs and feet. The final drop can get your top wet but it's not that high and relatively gentle that it rarely causes enough water displacement to get you completely soaked.

Most likely the front side will like better overall. I did enjoy the palette pool side having a better balcony directional viewing. Any preferred room on that resort side is a superior view overall.
I believe all of the villas are categorized as “Preferred Views”
The 2BR's at the north end of the hallway face either East or West.
