I have heard many good things about this Towncar Service...but I called on Saturday to schedule our pick-up. I was put on hold and after waiting 12 minutes (yes I was watching the clock!) I finally hung up and called back. I received a recording telling me to leave a message and they would call me back. I did not receive a call so I called back on Monday and was put on hold before I could even say anything. Waited for 10 minutes and finally hung up.

Questions...

can someone recommend a different towncar service?

has anyone else had trouble getting through to Tiffany?

is Tiffany worth the effort to keep calling back in comparison to other towncar services?

Thanks for the info.

We are using Cartier Towncar for our trip in December. Their prices are about the same as Tiffany Towncar and include a complimentary grocery stop. When I emailed them for the reservation, I had a confirmation number within 1 hour.

I have heard nothing but good things about them on this board.

I will be using YourRide in November. This past week I had to notify YourRide about twp changes in my flight schedule made by the airline. On both occasions, within two hours that I emailed YourRide, I received an email response. Try them, they have good rates that include 1/2 hour grocery stop.

This was the first year we tried a towncar service and we used Tiffany. I was very pleased with the service. I made our reservation online and received a response back the same day, if not within the hour. I even noted on the form that we were requesting a grocery stop and our driver confirmed the request when he picked us up.

I can't compare Tiffany with any other service firsthand. I was very pleased with their service, our driver and the price. It was a much more pleasant experience than using Mears.

I have used Tiffany Town Car two times in the past and their service was great.
I chose Cartier this time because their rates are lower. I changed my resort recently and I sent an email to them to let them know and I got a response back right away.

I posted recently to another thread where a person was second-guessing their choice. You really need to just follow your "gut" instinct and decide if you want to stick with them or change to someone else. I had a couple of good experiences with them, then had a bad one and no follow up from the company for a long time. In my eyes that is not good customer service considering their are many other options available to customers.

I feel that they were the same as other companies and did not offer anything "better" than anyone else. I, too, had trouble getting thru to them-but I was at the resort & needed to change my pick-up time as our flight times were changed by the airline. It took me more than 1 hour on the phone (at those resort rates-yikes!) to get it straightened out. IMO that is unacceptable.

I plan on using FL Tours since they are a sponser of the DIS boards. You can just click on their banner at the top of Trans board.

HTH!

I have always had great service from Tiffiany but always use the web page for the reservations. I have received confirmation within 24 hours of my reservation. I have always re-confirmed a few days before my flight again via e-mail and "deb" has always confirmed promptly. The drivers are friendly and the cars are clean and you can't beat the 1/2 hour grocery stop.

I have used one other service with poor results, I am giving them a chance to try and make things right before I post details - to be fair I hope.

My first time using someone other than tiffany I was stranded a the hotel with my two young girls as they never showed up to take us to the airport. Had to take a cab and tell him to "step on it"! not fun.

TJ,

I hope your problem was not jwtours because I booked them for October!

Thank you all for the information...I have to agree with welovedis...my gut says I need to get another service. I know in the grand scheme of things there are a lot more important things I need to worry about, but the last thing I want to do is get off the airplane and have to get another way to our Resort!!

I am going to check on Cartier and FL Tours.

Thanks again!!

I just made a reservation by phone with Tiffany about 2 weeks ago. I got right through on the phone and got everything set with no problems or delays. Maybe you got someone new on the phones or having trouble with the phones??? Anyway, I hope whoever you go with does a good reliable job for you. Good luck! :D

It always makes me nervous when a limo company doesn't answer their phone! It makes me picture myself stuck in an airport somewhere. We've never had that happen in Orlando, but we've had a lot of problems with companies in Chicago. It got so bad that we almost missed our flight twice, so now we just drive to the airport. In Orlando, we use Happy Limo. They respond to emails promptly, and when I've called, there is alway someone there. They've been very reliable.

I've used them about a dozen times over the years, and while their office staff leaves much to be desired, their drivers have generally been friendly (never less than courteous) and the cars clean and safe.

While I prefer Yourride.net, I would also use Tiffany without hesitation.

Like I said, their ofice staff aren't the best. Perhaps they've been short handed? I'd email them and see what happens.

We just got back this week. We used Florida Tours and had no problems. Easy making reservation. The driver was waiting at baggage claim. We made a 30 minute grocery stop. The driver was right on time picking us up to take us back to airport. The car was was very nice and roomy. I would definitely use them again.

We just used Tiffany and I would not use them again. We have used yourride the past 3 or 4 times, and I really don't kn ow why I switched:confused: The p/u at the airport was fine, nice clean car, courteous driver, grocery stop. Then our transport to Royal Pacific was late, (they had us down for the wrong time) and when I called, luckily the driver was waiting in the parking lot napping!
And then the return to the airport they showed up without a booster! Well, I wouldn't accept it, and they sent another car with a booster about 20 minutes later. The car was old and not very clean.

So I guess we are back to yourride.

Hi,
We have used Tiffany Towncar at least 7 times in the last few years.
I have always called for the reservations and never had any problems.
Our drivers have been at the airport to greet us at baggage claim every time but once. On one occasion we had our bags and were starting to panic. Our driver came just when we were going to call the office.
On our return trip Tiffany has always been very prompt.

We used Tiffany in July, never had a problem. The phone was answered promptly, got a confirmation number immediately, and requested the grocery stop. Even though our plane was late, our driver Berkley was waiting for us, didn't seem troubled or hurried. My DH and I enjoyed talking to him. The van was clean, and there were two baby/child car seats in case of need. They were prompt on the pick up, too, even though I had to change the time. I would definitely use them again.
