Let me prefrace this by saying I have used Tiffany Towncar at least seven times and will continue to use them in the future.

Our pickup at MCO last week went as planned. The driver (Ali) arrived on time and greeted us in the baggage claim area. He was very friendly and prfessional at first. We mentioned that we wanted to stop for groceries before we even got into the car. He said we were not entitled to a stop because it wasn't on our reservation. I explained to him that I confirmed the reservation the day before and was told by his office it woulnd't be a problem. They said all we have to do is mention it to the driver, which we did. I also stated to him that it is posted on their Web site. He insisted we were not entitled to a stop. I was getting a little disturbed by his change in attitude as we never had a problem in the past. I proceeded to pull out my cell phone and said to him, I will contact the Tiffany Towncar office to clarify the situation. His entire attitude changed.

To make a long story short, we ended up with our grocery stop, and I never had to call the office, but he gave us the cold shoulder and drove like a bat out of hell to get to our destination. I didn't feel safe with this driver at all!

The return trip was much like what we experienced from Tiffany in the past. It was a different driver. He was very accomodating.

We have yet to have a 'normal' grocery stop experience with any towncar service!! Our first trip using Tiffany we arrived at Sanford, about an hour out. And since we were about 45 mins. late in arriving, our driver asked if we would mind just stopping at a convenience type store. Not a problem since it had everything we wanted but it was pretty expensive. Then, when we used FL Tours over Thanksgiving we were told that there were no stores open then....we were in the car, traveling to WDW by 11:45 for crying out loud. I would have been happy to use another convenience store but that was never given as an option.
Since we're using DME in June, I'll be using a shopping service. I did this several times before and should have just stuck with it in Nov. Live and learn.

hhhmmm........that sounds very odd from the driver. we have used tiffany's many times and have never had such a problem. definitely call. :earboy2:

Wow, sorry to hear about your experience, I always request a van from Tiffany and our favorite driver, Berkley Edwards.

Would love to hear of a good experience with TT since their changeover-ours wasn't.

I didn't know TT had different management. We have been using them for at least 4 years (twice a year). Never ever had a problem. They are never late. The issue we experienced this time was a first for us. I feel the problem was with the driver and not TT. In all of my travels with them, there was never a question about a grocery stop. We let them know we want to stop as soon as we meet them at baggage claim. This was out of the ordinary. I just hope it is not a new trend. I made a new reservation with them for July. Hopefully the driver will be more informed. When did they change management?

Here is a thread that has been going on for a few weeks now with information on the management change as well as some testimonials from recent visits.
Tiffany Sold?

I think I have mixed feelings on this. I agree with what has been said not TT's fault, but the driver's. However, the consistent quality of service a representative of a company gives is generally a direct reflection of the management. I am hearing too many negatives about "the drivers" just makes you wonder. I am glad to hear that some have had a good experience. We just haven't decided what we want to do. :sad2:

Oh no! I must have missed that thread. Thanks for letting me know, Cplofdisneynutz. I still have some time before my trip in July. I'll keep a close watch on the posts before I cancel. I used to use Florida Towncar. Could be time for a switch. Sorry, I can't stand for unprofessional drivers.
