First - tried to use online reservation system - never got my reservation through.

Called - talked to a rude lady who could not simply answer questions without being rude. I was asking about making 2 stops and she was just unreasonable. Did not make reservation - told her I would look around for someone who could meet mt needs.

Looked for some other services and based on reviews here, went back to TTC and made a reservation with a nice gentleman. He did say I need to pay with cash - which seemed a little weird. But booked it anyway.

Today - the rude lady called me to tell me they couldn't make multiple stops for me. I indicated I hadn't requested them - she said I most certainly had. I said that I didn't make the reservation with her the day I called, but that I had called back and made a reservation to our hotel. She continued to argue with me.

I got off phone and made a VERY professional reservation with Mears Global Chaffeur Services which provided me with a phone number, a confirmation number and a password.

Called back to cancel and boy - got the rudeness again and she hung up on me.

DO NOT USE TIFFANY TOWN CAR! (I had recommended them to my brother and he was pleased, but this will stop me from making ANY referrals!!)

Wow. You would think with the competition from DME, that these services would be doing whatever they could to woo customers and treat them right.
Sorry you had such a bad experience, but glad you found a better alternative.

No excuse for being rude but....Town cars frequently charge a flat rate for airport runs. Town cars otherwise charge an hourly rate (around $50/hour with a 3 hour minimum).

People who get a free grocery stop get a great deal. People who ask for a second stop might be asking for too much. Either changing the rate to a charter rate or adding an extra $50 for the second stop will get most customers mad.

The OP didn't tell us if Tiffany quoted a rate. I can see some "issues" if Tiffany said the one way fare would be $50/hour with a 3 hour minimum.

I'll agree with the OP unless the "rudeness" occurred after the customer complained about the rates.

Just so others don't get completely scared away...I literally just booked with them 2 days ago and it was about as pleasent experience as one can have.

They took all pertinent data, repeated it, told me the charge, took my CC, gave me a confirmation # and within 2 minutes a confirmation email.

So...I'm sorry for your particular headaches, but this wasn't my experience. Mine was so pleasent I felt the need to defend.

Tiffany Town Car generally gets good reviews here and other places, UWGRAD. the OP's experience is unusual (but not impossible); I don't have any connection with TTC except as an occasional customer, but it's really nice of you to come to this thread and post your positive experience.

This story is a surprise for me too! We've used Tiffany for years and haven't ever experienced anything like this. I'm a bit concerned that you were told you had to pay in cash. We've always paid them with a credit card, including tips! I'd be a bit suspect of that request and am hoping that's not a new payment policy with them.

I booked online with Tiffany 2 days ago. I received a confirmation email immediately with instructions to call to add my credit card information. I called and spoke to a pleasant man who took my credit card number, verified my info, and confirmed a grocery stop. He also indicated he was applying a $5 discount since I reserved online. He informed me I could either pay with cash or credit card when they drop us off at the hotel.

I have never used them before, but so far I have been pleased with their prompt and courteous service. Sorry to hear OP did not have a similar experience.

Actually this has been reported several times on various message boards. The rude staff is NOT a one time occurrence.

Overall car servics in Orlando are VERY unprofessional and I no longer trust my trip to any of them!

Right. That's why I said it's "unusual (but not impossible""). I've seen those occasional complaint, too. I don't know the ratio of rude treatment to overall TTC clients, but it's probably pretty low. It's interesting that the rude treatment is always from a woman on the phone.

It's human nature to be vocal when things go wrong and silent when things go as expected.

There have been multiple reports through the years of very bad CS when dealing with the TTC office people. But, I have to say that I have never had to pay cash...in fact, I use them simply because I can use my cc, at the time of service, rather than upfront in advance.

I'm truly sorry to hear that someone in the office is not providing good customer service. TTC is a company I tend to recommend....it doesn't help them get and keep customers if their office staff is driving people away.

The good thing??? A ton of car service companies do read these boards...just to see what's going on. I'm sure this thread will be seen by those who need to see it.

This is going to sound strange but considering that there have been other reports that i have read about a 'rude woman' at Tiffany.. and the reports return every now and then... Wonder if she is related to the owner?

I ran into this with a lawn service once. I was out of town and my payment was 7 days late... when I got home there were TEN phone calls on my maching getting meaner and meaner and ruder and ruder... and the account wasn't really past due based on the statement. So I called. The owner told me it was his wife! I said I was sorry, but that I was not willing to be treated that way and cancelled the service. I suggested that if he didn't want to drive off customers he keep her OFF the phone (I also pointed out that she was probably breaking the law regarding collections LOL!) So when a place continues to employee "rude" it makes you wonder why? Could they be stuck with her. :happytv:
