We just returned 8/18 and just thought I would let everyone know how pleased I was with Tiffany Town Car. I was so worried because it was just me and my 10 year old on this trip. We had originally planned to use National rental but husband ended up in hospital right before the trip and doctor advised him not to travel so I needed to make other arrangements as I had no intention of driving when I had no clue where I was going. Tiffany was fantastic!! The driver was waiting for me at the bottom of the escalator as we were going down to level 2 baggage claim. I was so relieved to see that sign with my name on it. He showed me to where our luggage was coming out and got all luggage off the belt for us and carried it to the car. The car was really nice and clean and in beautiful shape. We felt just like celebrities. He took us to the Poly and helped check our luggage while we checked in. When it was time for us to leave the Poly he was there waiting for us. In fact he was there early as I went down 20 minutes before the time he was to meet us and he was already there. We are planning another trip next year with husband and we may just use them next year instead of renting a car. It was so easy and cheaper. We used the coupon in the back of the Passporter book and the cost for round trip was $77. I really don't think we would have used a rental car at all this trip except maybe for a grocery trip which I could have done with Tiffany if I had thought of it. If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to answer them. :)

Glad you had a great experience with Tiffany. We've used them several times and have never had a complaint. :)
Hope your dh is feeling better. :)

Glad to see this! We aren't renting a car when we go in December because we can't drive to the grocery store without arguing about the best way to get there! We are going to use Tiffany also....... thanks for the review!!

WE WILL BE USING TTC IN NOV THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST TIME, DO YOU NEED TO CALL THEM THE DAY BEFORE YOU DEPART,OR IS THIS ALREADY SET UP WHEN YOU MAKE RESERVATIONS.:)

Daisymeo, thanks for the report. My two college daughters are going without me in November and I have reserved Tiffany to pick them up and take them to the BWV and back to the airport. I was a bit worried, but reading your report makes me feel better! Thanks for sharing.

Missmac: They set the pick up time when they drop you at your resort. Being one of those "just to be safe" people, I have always called the day before we leave to confirm everything. (With TTC, I'm not sure why I do this. They are always on time and very professional and efficient.)

Who was your driver? Its great to hear you had a good experience with Tiffany. I was getting a little leary due to some bad reports on Tiffany. We used Tiffany in December and Ronnie our driver was great. We are going with Tiffany again in January and I was getting a little concerned.

Minybear, Our driver was Ali.
Missmac, I agree with Sandi you set up the departure pickup when you make the reservation. Being a worrier, I called the day before they were supposed to pick us up just to confirm the time and place. It just makes me feel better to do this. If you are going to the airport, allow plenty of time in case of traffic, etc. You can tell them what time you want to be picked up on the day you depart.

Thanks for the review! We'll be using TTC for the first time in November.

Thanks for the review. We are using Tiffany Towncar for the first time this Friday (8/24) for the first time. Also using the PassPorter coupon.

We will be using TTC for the first time for our trip beginning Dec.26th. I am wondering how much to tip the driver? I have read that you pay the round trip cost upon arrival but do you tip each driver individually? I have seen other posts that state to tip the entire amount for both arrival/departure upon arrival?

I am glad to see another good review for TTC, in '99 we used them and it was great! I surprised my mother by using them rather than Mears, she was impressed. Our drivers were great and on time.
I was hesitant about using them again for our trip this November as I had read that some people had been stranded at the airport or at the resort for the return trip, but I was happy with the service and decided to use them this trip.
I tipped each trip, I was glad I did this because we had a different driver each way.

Figment: I suggest, like Helen, that you tip each driver separately. I do 10% each way (total of 20% tip). If you have outstanding service, I'd tip more for that leg. We also had Ronnie for one of our trips and he was fabulous. Our plane was late because of snowstorms -- I called TTC from our midway stop and told them. Our luggage arrived on a flight earlier than ours and Ronnie tracked it down and rescued it right away. (We avoided a very long line of luggage retrievers.)

Sandi and HelenK,
I thought it wourld be wiser to tip each driver than to give the whole tip at the first leg of the trip and have faith the second driver would receive his share.

Sorry to rain on the Tiffany parade, but we had very poor service on a June 2001 trip.
The driver showed up late on both legs. We had our bags and had to ask another Tiffany driver to call to find out where our driver was. He showed up 30 minutes later without the carseat I had requested for my 3 year old. On our return from WL, the driver did not show up. I called and another driver was sent after dropping a passenger at Poly. Not surprisingly, he also did not have a carseat. We made it for our flight but had to rush a 3 year old through MCO.

I have already reserved our car for our Sept 2001 trip.

DO they always pick you up down by the luggage or do they wait by the gate? I am scared I am going to get lost and I'm not going to see them......this is my first time to FL and I am having major anxiety about it!

I would be interested in the answer also. By the way, this is our third trip to WDW and I am having major anxiety also. I think we all want things to run smoothly and, depending on personality, evreyone experiences some degree of anxiety.

We have used Tiffany on our last three trips, and they have always been at baggage claim. Actually, they have always been at the bottom of the escalator in baggage claim, so you see them as you are coming down the escalator. They have always been very easy to spot!

If you are having major anxiety like I was about MCO airport, check out their web site at http://www.state.fl.us/goaa/

They have maps that you can print out of each level of the airport terminal as well as the location of the gates at each airside. On the left side under Passenger Terminal, click on Arrivals Walkthrough and Departures Walkthrough. You can also view a movie on how to do everything. I printed it all out. I just got on the train to the terminal and took the escalator down to level 2 on the B side if you are Delta and the driver was at the bottom of the escalator. If you click on Airlines under Passenger Terminal it tells you what side A or B your airline is on as well as what gates they use. Good luck!

Oh my Gosh! Thank you so much! :) I really appreciate it :)
