Arts and Crafts **Tie Dye Mickey ears shirts directions**NEW NEW PICS LAST PAGE**

I washed mine...we will see how they come out. I had great results the last time I did these, we will see how they come out.

I think it doesn't make much difference, when you soak them in soda ash, all the non wanted particles come out, so whatever ya prefer to do.

Do you have a pattern that you can share? I'm not sure how I would do the openings (grommets) for the strings.

Hi, actually I don't have a pattern, I just copied it from another bag i bought, the grommets mu husband made them for me, he is the tool man of the house, and he has a little thing, machine I don't know how its called but he makes them for me. :lovestruc I'll ask him.

I'm way late to the tie dye party in here, but these are too cute!
I have a friend that would love one of these, thanks for the awesome ideas!

Did the dying today (and have a multi-colored thumb to prove it!) I cannot wait until tomorrow to open them up! :thumbsup2

So I've been stalking and reading this thread for a couple of weeks, trying to soak up all of the great tips everyone gave. I ordered my dye, bought my soda ash at Walmart, got plenty of rubber bands, and bribed my sister and college age daughter to help. We worked last weekend and here is our results. (My mom and dad are taking all 18 of us in June to celebrate their 50th.) We still need to bleach pen them but we are very happy with how they all turned out. Thanks to EVERYONE who contributed to this thread, all of your tips really made a difference.

Hmmm, cant' get my pictures to post. I uploaded to photobucket and used the url but they didn't come through. Any ideas?

First thought is, make sure your Photobucket accout is set to Public view, and not Private.

Did that. I read somewhere that I may need a certain number of posts here to be able to post pictures. Any idea how many posts that is?

Funny thing is, if I put the link into a new window, I can view the picture fine, so I'm not sure what the issue is here.

Wow, that is a lot of shirts! Very impressive! Yours came out much better than mine did.

That's weird, because when I look at the thread, I don't even see a link with my post.
Thanks, we were very happy with how they turned out. Of course some we like better than others, and we have no idea what we did to make them turn out better. That's the problem with making 18 of them at a time!
