Arts and Crafts **Tie Dye Mickey ears shirts directions**NEW NEW PICS LAST PAGE**

Most of the stores have short sleeve shirts out already, target, walmart etc.
Hoodies are hard to find suitable for tie dye, most of the hoodies are blends, Dharma has t shirt style hoodies, a little bit thicker than t shirts.

How does dharma's sizing run? Small...true to size? :confused3

True size, they have a chart size with the measurements with all their garments. I made one of those hoodies let me see if I had the pic in my photobucket

Just read the tags and make sure they're 100% cotton. Most of the hoodies,(fleece) are a blend.

AMAZING!!! I love it! I would pay for them...honestly. It looks like a lot of work but so worth it. Let me know if you go into business, I'll be your first customer;)

I would so LOVE to purchase a couple if you go into buisness!!! :thumbsup2

I stock up on shirts when Old Navy has sales. I like the way their tank tops and tshirts fit (at least the ones I grab). I did manage to find an all cotton zip up hoodie there which I believe I mentioned on another post. Just check your tags, I've had luck with 60/40 blends but the colors are definitely lighter but if you're in a pinch, and using good dyes you'll still get decent results.

Those are great Brett, love the bright colors! Well done, Have fun at the world!

Thanks! I have another 4 I did with the same colors. Don't know what I was thinking...I meant to make them different! I'm not creazy about the shape of the Mickey's on the adult shirts. I think I may need a better template. The Mickey heads that are on all of your clothes are so defined! I think my ears are too engrained with the head. I think they should stand out more.

Make your stitches small and very very thigh, that is the trick, also don't saturate you ears with dye because it will leak tru.

I can email you my template of you want. Let me know, davidyroxy@aol.com

Ok, I am finally posting pics of some of the various tie-dyes I have done over the past 6 (has it really been that long?) years.

Mickey Head--my 2nd set

Dinosaur--same principle as Mickey Head

Dinosaur--the original dinosaur, went back and made some for us big kids too!

Feathering--based on this technique anyway but was using the remaining colors from my first big batch of tie-dyes.

Will post more soon including guitars that I did for our May 2010 trip to commemorate our DS's first RnR coaster ride. Similar to the Mickey head but I free-handed the outline of the guitars.

Lovin the Dino!!!!!

Has anyone ever tried any other disney characters? Pooh? Tigger? Goofy? Just wondering - this is way cool!!!!

Old Navy is having a stock up sale so I did just that! I got 2 more tanktops and 3 tshirt that I'll hold on to until the weather is warmer so I can dye them!!! The tanks were 5 bucks and the tshirts were also 5 but went down to 4 if you bought more than 1. :cheer2:

tried to make mickey shirts once again and they didnt come out so i think i will just do regular tye dye shirts.

I love the string backpack!! Where did you find a plain cotton one to dye?

Thanks!!

We made some shirts last year and they came out great. Debating making more for this year's trip.
