Arts and Crafts **Tie Dye Mickey ears shirts directions**NEW NEW PICS LAST PAGE**

I have got to quit coming back to this thread. It makes me want to tie dye more shirts again!

Cherokeemamma and tlh0726, your shirts are wonderful. They came out so well!

PixieDust32, My DS14 just saw the red, black and white shirt and wants me to do one for him without the Mickey Head. I told him that would mean he'd have to be a GA Bulldog fan and he went "Huh?". :rotfl: We aren't football fans at our house. LOL

DS made this one himself. No Mickey Head on it but for his first time ever, he did great.

I'm going to try and make one like this for our Girls DL trip this month! Wish me luck!! I think I'm going to put a red bow on top of the Mickey head.

Very cool! Have you used any of the faded glory 100% organic t-shirts from Walmart? That's what I'm going to do the black & red on.

YES!!! :thumbsup2 Go for it! Those shirts are awesome, I guess is the cotton count I don't know but they are great, a little more expensive but great.
I bought several last year when they went on sale and the colors look even more vivid.
I know a lot of people don't like Wal mart but I do, that brand is good. Target's shirts are more expensive tho.

OK, this is not tie dye but I wanted to share with you guys.

I made this shirt with Crystals Rhinestones, it was a little hard because I had to put one by one and time consuming but it turned out nice, I think. :goodvibes

Cool! I was hoping they would work good. On the Walmart website, they have some of those t-shirts $10 for a 2-pack so I got a black one and a white one. For our girls' trip, we're doing a pirate iron-on with a black shirt and a tie dye for another shirt so it works perfectly.

Good deal, the retail price at the store for those shirts the organic cotton was $5.50, the kids sizes were a bit less, so you got a good deal.
Check your store whenever you can, sometimes the go on sale.

That shirt (black and Red) its a women's fitted from Michael's 100% cotton.

Sure! Come on over :goodvibes :thumbsup2

What brand and dye colors did you use for this? I'm a big fan of the red\black shirts.

Also, the bleach pen...what type do you use and where does that step come into your process?

I used dharma dye but its a mix of different tones of reds to get the right shade of red.
The black is new black from dharma as well.

We are GA fans so we loveeee black/red also my girls sports team colors are black and red.I'm making my DD's basketball team some tie dyes for the end of the season party.

I only use the pen if the dye runs wild through the rubber bands, its like that with tie dye, you never know. So after washing the shirt and if the shape is not define the bleach pen can fix it. I have the clorox gel pen, we found it at sams. Just be very careful when using it or it can ruin your shirt, you can practice on a rag first.

I'm a big Hines Ward fan and therefore a transient Bulldogs fan!
Thanks again for the advice.

So, what happens when I venture outside of the Disneyland California forums?!?!? I find THIS thread and proceed to spend two full evenings (way into the wee hours of the morning) reading every page and studying them. All I can say is -- this is the BEST THREAD EVER. :worship: And PixieDust, you are so sweet and so awesome to help with every possible detail on how to do these shirts. I love you! :lovestruc
