Hi Vicky,

OK, you need to wash and dry your shirts first. Yes, use a cardboard or something between the layers. You can let them dry and wear them like that or you can wash them after the bleach has dry.

Just be very very careful when using the pen, it can run your shirt, I suggest you to practice on a piece of cloth of a darker color so you know how the bleach reacts on the cloth and also how long does it take to show, sometimes you might think that its not working and keep adding more to realize later that you use too much.

OMG

all the shirts turned out this morning!!! they didnt run only looked like it. i dyed mickey navy and used tulip 3 color pink yellow turquoise.. they are awesome.
no bleach needed
im so excited!!!!!!!!
too bad i didnt make them when we went to DL in summer
i made them for 2 friends who are going to WDW

Congratulations on your shirts. Please take the time to learn how to post pictures! I did and it's so much fun!!

Thought I'd share a few...
PixieDust32 made these awesome shirts.

These are the ones I made
(needed a little more dye).

And in case you don't want to try the Mickey Head,
here are a couple other options.
We wore these on Christmas Day.

And these just for fun.

Awesome pics! Love your designs! Thanks for sharing. :yay:

I just love looking at the designs and how much you inspire people !! Regardless if you made them for your 'fans' or if they made them on their own with your guidance, they're all magical!!! You should be very proud !! :wizard:

Has anyone ever tried using just black dye on a light to medium colored shirt? I was thinking of doing the swirl/Mickeyhead shirt and using the black dye on every other "piece" of the pie. Make sense? Anyone ever tried it? I'm thinking of a lighter lime green or a lighter but bright pink base shirt. Thoughts?

You can do that too, I had done pale pink, as long as the garment is cotton.

Here is a stupid question. I foun the dye kit today (woohhoo) Is there a way I can mix the colors? it has red, yellow an blue in the kit.

If you have the kit, the dye is already in the bottles, you can mix them on the shirt by overlapping the colors to get the other colors, overlap the red with the yellow to get orange, yellow with the blue to get green, blue wit the red to get purple etc.
If you have the portion mix individual colors you can mix the formulas to get the color you want, you would need a certain amount of let say red, and certain amount of another color to get let say orange or true red and so on.

:thumbsup2

I am thinking about buying my dye from ebay. Which brands should I avoid? Or should I use somewhere else?
