I have done the Mickey tie dye shirts in the past with Tulip and/or Jaccard dyes I purchase from my local AC Moore. They came out ok, but the colors really faded a lot after the very first rinse/wash. For my twins birthday party this summer, I ordered a tie dye kit from Dharma and made rainbow tie-dye shirts (50 of them - no Mickey heads, as it would have taken way too long!). The colors were fabulous! Very bright and did not fade. Dye went into crevices easier. T-shirts came out awesome and were a huge hit! People really thought they were done professionally ;-) Ordered more dies from Dharma and will be working on new mickey head shirts today for upcoming Disney trip. I am going to make one for my pet sitter, too.
